Difference Between Infectious and Non-Infectious Diseases

Answer: A disease is generally a situation in the body in which the body cells, tissues, and organs deteriorate from normal functioning. There are mainly two types of diseases they are infectious diseases and non-infectious diseases. The following table will show the difference between Infectious and Non-infectious diseases.

Non-infectious Disease 

A disease that is easily transferred from one person to another is called infectious disease. 

A disease that cannot be transferred to other people and people who are suffering from it has to restrain it. These diseases are called non-infectious diseases. 

These diseases are caused by microorganisms named pathogens such as fungi or bacteria 

These are also caused by pathogens but due to other factors like age, nutritional deficiencies, lifestyle, or gender 

Examples – Chicken Pox, fever

Examples – Diabetes, cancer
