Define Photolysis

Answer: Photolysis is a chemical change in which sunlight absorbs molecules and breaks them down into tiny chunks. The photolysis mechanism isn’t limited to visible light alone. Photolysis can occur in any biochemical molecule or bond that receives enough power out from photon. The wavelength is oppositely similar to the photon’s power. Various rays such as ultraviolet rays, gamma rays and X-rays are used in the photocatalytic process. Photolysis is a type of process that is light-dependent. It’s also known as a photochemical stage, light phase, or photosynthetic Hill reaction.
