Answer: The term Placentation is referred to the ovule arrangement in the ovaries of different flowers.
In the Basal Placentation, the placenta gets developed on the base of the ovaries in which the single ovule has been attached. This can be seen in the marigold flowers in their unilocular ovaries. The ovules which are present inside the ovaries of the flowers are joined to the ovary with the funiculi.
