Henley Passport Index:
- Henley Passport Index is prepared by Henley and Partners, a global citizenship and residence advisory firm based in London.
- It measures the world’s most travel-friendly passports each year.
- It ranks the passports of countries according to the number of destinations their holders can visit without a prior visa.
- The countries are ranked on the analysis of data provided by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
- The passport index defines the strength of diplomatic relations of any one country with others; essentially, the more one country has ‘ease of access’ to others, the higher its ranking.
- The index covers 227 destinations and 199 passports.
