The UGC NET exam is conducted twice a year for the position of ‘Assistant Professor’ and ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ in the colleges and universities of India.

UGC NET Application Form 2023

The UGC NET form 2023 form is open for the UGC NET exams for June. The last date to apply for the UGC NET form is 31st May 2023.

Steps to Fill UGC NET Application Form 2023

Here are the steps to follow to apply for the UGC NET application 2023:

1. Go to the official website https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in and click on the UGC NET application form 2023.
2. A new screen will be displayed. Click on the “New Registration” button if you’re a new user, to register yourself. Else, fill in the details and hit the ‘Sign in’ button.
3. The details to be filled in are :
   1. Name of the Candidate
   2. Mother’s Name
   3. Father’s Name
   4. Date of Birth
4. The candidate must choose the exam centre and the medium of the exam in which the candidate wants to attempt the exam.
5. Enter the following information:
   1. Aadhar card number
   2. Gender
   3. Category
   4. Status of Employment
   5. Status of Qualifying Exams
6. Fill in the following educational details:
   1. Educational Details
   2. Recent Qualification Details
   3. Percentage
7. Finally, provide the following details
   1. Communication Address
   2. Phone Number
   3. Email ID
8. Candidates must upload their photographs and their signature in jpg or jpeg format and have a plain white background.
9. The candidates will be directed to the payment page which can be done online.
10. Click on the ‘SUBMIT’ option.
11. Candidates can download the confirmation page.

UGC NET Application Form Correction 2023

The correction window for UGC NET 2023 Application Correction was opened from June 2nd to June 3rd 2023. The correction facility will be available on the official website. Those candidates who have previously submitted the application form can use the correction facility.

UGC NET Application Form 2023: Important Points to Remember 

1. Mode of Application: The application form for UGC NET can be submitted only in online mode through the official website. Applications submitted through any other mode will not be accepted.

2. Single Application Form: Candidates are allowed to submit only one application form. Multiple submissions will lead to rejection.

3. Correct Email ID and Mobile Number: Candidates must provide their email ID and mobile number accurately in the application form. All important communication regarding the exam will be done by NTA through email or SMS.

4. Application Process Steps: The application process includes four steps: registration, filling out the application form, uploading scanned photos and signatures, and payment of the application fee. These steps can be completed together or separately, as per the candidate’s convenience.

5. Document Upload: Candidates are not required to upload any document other than scanned copies of their photograph and signature in the application form.

6. Non-Generation of Confirmation Page: If the confirmation page is not generated after the payment of the application fee, it indicates that the transaction has been cancelled. In such cases, the amount will be refunded to the candidate’s account, and a new transaction for fee payment needs to be made.

7. Retain Printed Copies: Candidates should keep printed copies of the confirmation page for future reference and documentation purposes.

8. No Physical Document Submission: Since the entire UGC NET application process is online, candidates are not required to send any document through post, fax, by hand, or via email to NTA.
