- Tonsils and adenoids- The tonsils and adenoids are located in your throat and nasal project so that they can trap foreign invaders as soon as they enter your body. They can produce antibodies that can protect us from any invaders from throat and lung infections.
- Spleen- Our spleen stores white blood cells which help in defending our body from foreign invaders. Its function is to filter blood, destroying old and damaged red blood cells.

There are many deficiencies and health conditions that can harm the immune system. Some medicines make it harder for the body to release antibodies and fight the infection. - Cancer- There are certain cancer cells like leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma which can affect the immune system directly. The cause of these cancers is when the immune cells multiply uncontrollably.
- Infections- Infections like HIV and mononucleosis are well-known infections that can weaken the immune system and they can lead to serious illness.
- Sepsis- It is a response to the substance by the immune system. It can trigger inflammation in the body and can cause a chain of events that can lead to death.
- Medications- There are some medicines like corticosteroids that can weaken the immune system.
