Any problem with the excretory system causes a buildup of nitrogenous waste in the body, which can lead to diseases like kidney failure. They also help with blood pressure regulation, anaemia prevention, and a variety of other functions.

Before developing anuria, a person may first experience oliguria, which is characterised by decreased urine flow. Urination is required regularly to rid the body of waste and excess fluids. The kidneys excrete 1 to 2 quarts of urine per day. Waste, water, and electrolytes can accumulate in your body if you do not urinate regularly. When there is little or no urine production, any underlying health issues may worsen. It carries the risk of being fatal.

Anuria can be caused by chronic kidney disease (CKD), kidney stones, or kidney tumours. Anuria can be caused by diabetes, high blood pressure, or kidney stones. Fluid retention, recent difficulty urinating, decreased bathroom visits, blood in the urine, and fatigue are all symptoms of anuria.

Polyuria

If you have polyuria, a medical condition, you urinate more frequently than usual and excrete abnormally large amounts of urine each time you urinate. Polyuria is defined as the daily passing of large amounts of urine – more than 3 litres per day – as opposed to the normal daily urine output of 1 to 2 litres in adults. Polyuria is a condition that can affect both children and adults.

Nephritis

In this region, the nephrons, which are the parts of the kidney that perform functions, become inflamed. Nephritis is defined by the inflammation of the kidney’s nephrons, which are the functional units of the organ. Glomerulonephritis, also known as kidney inflammation, can impair the kidney’s ability to function properly.
