NEET PG is an annual exam through which students are given admission into postgraduate medical courses on the basis of their merit. Prospective candidates must know all about the NEET PG exam pattern in order to plan and prepare well in advance.
In order to meet the cut off, students should know what kind of questions they will be asked, which subject has more weightage, etc. Along with the exam pattern, students should also be aware of the marking scheme of the exam so they can allot time to each subject depending on their weightage. The exam pattern includes details such as duration of exam, marking scheme, number of questions, exam structure, etc. In addition to being aware of these details, candidates must go through the previous NEET PG exam papers.
NEET PG 2023 Exam pattern
- Language: The NEET PG exam question paper is set in the English language only
- Date of exam: The exam was held on March 5 in computer-based mode.
- Mode of exam: The exam will be conducted in online mode. It is a computer-based examination
- Time duration: Candidates will be given 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete the paper
- Questions: There will be 200 questions in the paper
- Question type: The questions will be multiple choice questions (MCQ)
- Total marks: The total marks that can be obtained by the candidate is 800 marks
- Marking scheme: There is negative marking for every wrong answer. The candidate will be awarded 4 marks for every correct answer. One mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. Questions unanswered will fetch zero marks
