NEET PG Counselling 2023 Latest News: The NEET PG 2023 Counselling schedule has been released by the Medical Counselling Committee. Registration will commence on July 27 and will remain open until noon on August 1. The choice filling can be done from July 28 to August 2, and the results of the first-round seat allocation will be announced on August 5, 2023.
NEET PG refers to the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduation. This test is conducted in India for students who want to take admission into Master or Diploma courses related to medicine such as MD or Doctor of Medicine, MS or Master of Surgery, etc. The NEET PG exam started in the year 2013.
An autonomous body, the National Board of Examination (NBE) annually conducts the NEET PG. The NBE comes under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. After the NEET PG exam, the counselling and seat allotment process is conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Candidates who want to appear for the NEET PG exam need to pay the application fee. Application fees to be paid by different categories of students are as follows.

The main exam of the NEET PG is held every year in a computerised mode and has MCQs. The duration of the exam is a total of 3 hours and 30 minutes. Candidates can check the NEET PG result on the official website of NBE.
Candidates who qualify for the main exam are shortlisted for the counselling phase. Final admissions take place on the basis of counselling. The dates for the same are announced online followed by which the candidate needs to register for counselling. The counselling for the NEET PG exam is conducted in the online as well as offline mode. Candidates who choose the online mode need to go through the full online procedure whereas candidates who opt for offline mode need to report to the respective counselling centre.
