The American Revolutionary War is known as the Revolutionary War or the American War of Independence. The American Revolutionary War began on April 19, 1775, and ended on September 3, 1783. The declaration of Independence was done on July 4, 1776. France and Spain supported the American Patriots. 

The conflict took place in North America, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Caribbean. The American revolutionary war ended on September 3, 1783. The end occurred when Britain accepted American independence in the Treaty of Paris, while the Treaties of Versailles decided to simultaneously resolve their separate conflicts with France and Spain.

American Civil War

The Civil War began in 1861 in the United States of America. The Civil war began after increasing tensions between northern and southern states over slavery. The seven southern states formed the Confederate States of America and four more states soon joined them after the election of Abraham Lincoln in 1860 took place. The War Between the States, named the Civil war, ended in Confederate surrender in 1865. The American Civil war was the most expensive and deadliest ever fought on American soil. Around 620,000 of 2.4 million soldiers were killed, millions more got injured and much of the Southern part was left in ruin.

Causes of the American Civil War

The United States was experiencing a period of tremendous growth in the mid-19th century. A fundamental economic difference was present between the country’s northern and southern regions.

In the North, manufacturing and industry was well established as well as agriculture was mostly limited to small-scale farms in the North. On the other hand, the South’s economy was based on large-scale farming that depended on the labour of Black enslaved people to grow specific crops such as cotton and tobacco.
