“The bhoodan and Sarvodaya” movement was started by Vinoba Bhave in the year of 1951.This movement was a nonviolent movement to achieve progress in every society in India. Vinoba Bhave was born in Rukmini Devi and Narahari Rao house. He learnt several languages and it helped to draw towards asceticism in his early years. He was going to the Ahmedabad ashram of Gandhi after getting letters from him in the year of 1916.
Ahmedabad ashram was that place where Vinoba Bhave involved himself in several social works related to the promotion of environmental hygiene, sanitation and child education in the country. He was the first of the Satyagraha movement in the year of 1940. In the year 1951, he started the bhoodan movement to give progress to each person of Indian society.
