MINERAL AND POWER RESOURCES-WIND ENERGY POWER PLANTS

With the emergence of awareness toward the environmental and ecological issues, the people of the contemporary world have been forcing their government to give them an option to use the energy that comes under the list of renewable energy. With the effortless work of international organisations to educate people all over the world, the people of the developed world as well as of third world and Middle East countries have become pliant on the issue concerning environmental and ecological importance. This is not only the key reason behind the people looking for an option of renewable energy but also the key reason behind the Government has been spending money to establish or develop such kind of power plants.

Geographical importance for wind energy power plant

The seashore is a major source of wind energy. In the case of land breeze that exists at night and its direction from the land to the water of the ocean or sea and the sea breeze that flows from the water to land at day are major sources of wind energy. This is a reason behind the fact that Wind Energy Power Plants are seen in the coastal regions of a country of the world. Consider a country establishing its wind energy power plants apart from the coastal region then the power plants cannot get wind energy to produce electricity. In order to establish such a power plant in the region to reduce the dependency on the mineral-based power plant, a government has to choose the region carefully that has adequate wind energy to produce a specific amount of electricity.

Importance of wind energy

The modern world has been inclined toward the environmental and ecological states, and the citizens of the states are concerned about their natural resources that are non-renewable. Furthermore, they are putting pressure on their government to establish wind energy power plants in their region. Power plants that are based on wind energy are able to reduce the dependency on non-renewable mineral resources such as coal, uranium and other natural resources that have been used in nuclear energy power plants. Mineral resources are a limited source and in case it is replaced by renewable energy like wind energy to produce electricity for a country then it is an effective move of the country to reduce the wastage of mineral resources.

Contemporary world moving toward wind energy

With the development of technology and science, the countries of Asia and Africa that have a vast source of wind energy still do not rely on wind energy. In case, they are establishing power plants that are based on the wind energy that comes from the coastal regions. Furthermore, in case they agree to establish wind energy power plants then they can reduce their expansion to produce electricity to run the business activity of the whole country. Moreover, it does not adversely affect the environment and ecology so it will be the next step toward the sustainable development of whole countries. It is a prime aim of the international organisations that are working to reduce the adverse impact of the environment.

A necessary step to reduce dependency on thermal and nuclear energy

In order to reduce the dependency of the world on mineral resources, the countries of the world have to come together on a platform and join hands and make a strong commitment to establishing renewable energy power plants. Wind energy power plant is considered a major source of producing energy that is based on renewable energy and this is a reason behind the world vehemently adopting it to produce electricity and reduce the dependence on thermal and nuclear energy. Nuclear energy and thermal energy power plants can destroy a large area in case the power plant is blasted and also be able to spread radiation nearby areas in case of the nuclear energy plant. On the other hand, there is no such kind of blowout or radiation in the case of a Wind energy power plant, so it cannot be exaggerated to say that replacing the nuclear and thermal energy power plant with a wind energy power plant is a step to reduce the death toll in the case of an emergency.

Conclusion

Wind is a major and cheap source that is able to produce energy, and it is renewable energy and not able to affect the environment adversely. This is a reason behind the fact the developed world, as well as the third world countries, has been relying on wind energy to produce electricity. The countries of the contemporary world have been reducing their dependency on non-renewable resources by adopting wind energy to produce electrical energy.
