Tricks to Memorize the Table of 24

There are certain tricks that make memorizing the table of 24 easy. First of all the multiples of 24 are whole numbers or commonly known as integers. Also, 24 is the multiple of both 3 and 8 and cube of 2 is also 8. Now everybody knows the table of 2 and 3 and so it is easy to memorize the table.

Also, the table of 24 can be written as,

24 x   1 = 24, 24 x   2 = 48, 24 x   3 = 72 etc. Also, the table of 4 can be written as, 4 x   1 = 4, 4 x   2 = 8, 4 x   3 = 12 etc. So, the last digit of the multiples of four and last digit of multiples of 24 are same.

Solved Example

Example 1: By taking the help of the table of 24, solve for 5 times 24.

Answer. To solve for this problem, first we should refer to the table of 24 and also to express the problem mathematically. 

We can write the problem as,

24 x   5

Now, if we refer to the table of 24, we get that 24 x   5 = 120

Thus, the result of five times 24 is 120.

Example 2: By the table of 24, find the value of three times twenty-four.

Answer. To solve this problem first we should read the table of 24 and express the problem mathematically

To express the problem mathematically, we can write that,

24 x   3

Now if we refer to the table of 24, the value of 24 x   3 is equals to 72.

Thus, the value of three times 24 is 72.
