Many doubts and contradictions persist within the historical topography of India, catering to the invention made by the most popular tribe, Aryana in the then times of India. Focus has been given to solving the fact that persisted for a longer period of, whether Aryans invaded India or not or are they truly invaders? Therefore, to justify the reminiscences of history and the past of India, a theory has been developed by the well known German “orientalist and philologist”, “Friedrich Max Müller”. The “Aryan invasion theory” firmly caters to generating a hypothesis, that during the year 2000, the tribe known as Aryans had either migrated or invaded the subcontinent of Asia.

What do we mean by “Aryan invasion”?

The notion of “Aaryan invasion”, has been implemented or rather incorporated by the Britishers during their colonial rule in India. With the production of this theory, the Britishers wanted to justify and establish their rule in India. It’s also said that they have used the theory as a policy to their intrusion within Asian subcontinents. Thereby they have also successfully established the notion that the “white-skinned people” were responsible and have the duty of suppressing the “dark-skinned people”. This incident is nothing new as it happened back in the historical era, before the birth of Christ, which dates back to 2000 years. This theory promotes the establishment of this fact in Aryan Invasion.

Definition of “Aryan invasion theory”

The well-known person, Max Müller, established this “Aryan invasion theory” based on his own hypothesis that shows certain resemblances that are acknowledged in the linguistic approach of several languages. Such languages are “Sanskrit”, “Greek”, “Spanish”, “French”, “German” and many more. It can also be said that these European languages were discovered during the colonial era by the scholars of Europe. From this evidence only, Max generated a theory that states the tribe known as Aryans has either migrated or made an invasion to India. Originally it was known that India was at the beginning, that means before the invasion was inhabited by the tribe known as “Dravidians”, who were killed by the Aryans. Moreover, the theory made a claim that the invaders Aryans were like underground roots that have led to the foundation of “Modern India”. Furthermore, the theory also intends to reject the “Harappan civilization” as the root for civilization in India.

What led to the formation of the question “what is Aryan invasion theory”?

According to the “Aryan invasion theory” of Max Muller, several pieces of evidence have been collected from the reminiscences of the past just to justify the theory by the Britishers of the age. Moreover, the evidence was gathered to showcase the people of India, that “white-skinned people”, that is Britishers are justified in colonizing and brutally treating the “dark-skinned people” the Indians. Such examples are as follows although are not firm in their reason for legitimizing the British rule in India. The first and foremost evidence is the presence of culture among Indian people which was followed by Aryans. In addition to these, “Aryan invasion theory” shows similarities are also located in terms of languages. Furthermore, the “system of caste-based” that segregated the society has also been taken from in the times of the Aryans. The European language that is mostly associated with Sanskrit is that of “Latin or Greek”. Furthermore, it was also established by the theory that Aryans were also responsible for civilizing the “uncouth Dravidians”.

Whether the “Aryan invasion theory” is true or not?

Coming this far in the study, it can be well understood by the Indians, that within this theory lies a hidden truth. To this, it can be easily said that to benefit the British colonial rule in India, they have generated this theory and finally put a facade in front of the Indians. Furthermore, they establish that they wanted to civilize the Indian people and that this incident is not new. This same incident happened after the “Aryan Invasion”. Therefore, this led to the question by eh Indians that “Is Aryan invasion theory true”. Therefore, Indians don’t believe the theory to be not true.

Conclusion

Concluding the study, it has been noted that the sudden generation of the question based on “what is Aryan invasion theory” by Max Muller made the Indians curious about the notions and ask the question “Is Aryan invasion theory true” to the Britishers. The reason behind this lies in the fact that Britishers used this theory during colonization to justify themselves. Moreover, the theory benefited them to relentlessly loot and plunder and exploit the treasures of India, in the name of civilizing the “uncouth” Indians.
