This study is going to evaluate the concept of National monsoon mission and its contribution in predicting monsoon and rainfall in different periods. Seasonal prediction and its forecasting based on the National monsoon mission are going to be discussed in this study as well as it will reflect the effectiveness of extended prediction. Concept of a National monsoon mission in India and its activities are going to be discussed in this study. Periodic data are published in the National monsoon mission of India and it follows appropriate models to analyze the upcoming situation of monsoon.

What is the National monsoon mission?

National monsoon mission is developed on the basis of a climate prediction model and provides water range and extended range season prediction to people to be aware of monsoons. National monsoon mission helps in the growth of the economy because it predicts several types of certain situations of seasonal changes that farmers and workers are able to take initiative to deal with. National monsoon mission was launched by the Ministry of Earth science in the year 2012 in order to improve seasonal forecast and medium-range forecasts. Dynamic prediction system about changing seasons and monsoons was developed based on the national monsoon mission. Changing of wind direction and internal reversal causes monsoon in different regions of India however forecasting power has helped civilians to take pre question 248 against this type of uncertain situation.

National monsoon mission contributes in predicting rainfall and monsoon in different periodic scale

Two types of monsoon are seen in India: winter monsoon which lasts from October to November and another one is summer monsoon that lasts from May to September. People face several types of uncertain situations due to the monsoon and a large number of agricultural products have been lost for not taking precautions before the monsoon. Arrival of the monsoon causes floods and the economy of the country becomes imbalanced. National monsoon mission creates an accurate time of monsoon arrival in different periods in which farmers and residents become aware to take initiatives to deal with the monsoon situation. The main goal of the National monsoon mission is to improve weather forecasting to save farmers and agricultural products.

Seasonal prediction and extended prediction of National monsoon mission

Seasonal prediction is a process of estimating weather conditions of the upcoming month based on climate events and related activities. Estimated time for the arrival of monsoon is identified in the National monsoon mission before arrival of the monsoon which saves the government economically. Extended prediction concept of implementing a controlling strategy achieves long run prediction. A vision of the National monsoon mission is to improve state of the art dynamic prediction of rainfall and monsoon in different periods. Around 80% of the time monsoon arrival is accurately predicted by the National monsoon mission and saves a large number of national products.

Concept of National monsoon mission in India

The “national monsoon mission” is being launched by the ministry of earth and science of India. The vision of this establishment is to develop a state by state prediction system for monsoon rainfall at different times of scale. To fulfil this vision the government of India established this statutory body in the year 2012. On analysis of the objective of this authority, it has been noted that the establishment has primary objectives to enhance seasonal and international monsoon prediction. Other than this, this helps to develop a goal to improve forecasts of medium range. Based on this, accurate prediction of rainfall in the monsoon can be predicted.

Activities of National monsoon mission

In this mission process, the ministry of the nation developed the state of the art weather process and different types of models on climate production. There are different kinds of models that are able to predict the weather report on a daily basis. There are 3 types of models which are short to medium range, extended range and seasonal range. The short-medium range is limited for 1-10 days, the extended range lasts for 10-30 days and the seasonal range works for at least for a season. Apart from this, this also helps to make relations with the foreign institutes for the development of Climate application for having effective prediction on the weather.

Conclusion

This assessment is based on the “National Monsoon mission” and there is a brief cover of this mission by which the readers are able to get the information about it. There is information about the impact of this mission in predicting the rainfall and other periodic scales. However, there is information on different predicting models. This process has been used to take proper precautions for issues and risk factors in the monsoon season. There is brief information about the activities of this mission along with some FAQs. This assessment provides information on this mission and its effectiveness. The developers are developing some other processes to have direct production on this climate change in the monsoon season.
