Socio-Economic Caste Census

The Socio-Economic Caste Census 2011 is one of the programs launched by the government of India for the development of both rural and urban regions of India.

The development of the different regions of the country leads to the development of the nation with the development of their public. The government functions in the development of the local people in the nation with the development of rural as well as urban areas. Most of the development in a nation can be seen in the urban region of the nation, but the real development of the nation is by the collective development of both urban and the rural reason of the nation. The government of India has launched the “Socio-Economic Caste Census or SECC 2011” to promote the development of the rural and the urban region in the nation.  

Socio-Economic Caste Census 2011 

“Socio-Economic Caste Census or SECC 2011” is the study of various rural and urban regions in terms of their economical status and the households. The development of the region can be made by analyzing the requirements of the different regions. The detailed analysis is done by revealing the overall data of the region in terms of the economical status of the urban and the rural region. This analysis helps in ranking different regions of the rural and urban areas to make the efforts in the development of those areas. The development of different regions is made by three different authorities functioning in the development of the rural and urban regions. The census in rural parts has been conducted by the “Department of rural development or DoRD”, whereas in urban areas the census is conducted by the “Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation or MOHUPA”. Under the various censuses, the census on the caste is also conducted by the administrative controller the “Ministry of Home Affairs: Registrar General of India or RGI”.

Methodology

The SECC programs the various methods are carried out by the various processes in which the government servants conduct surveys in different regions to collect the data. Then the collected data is then used in making the plan for the development of the different regions. The data is then entered in the official portal of the Central Public Sector Enterprises or CPSEs and the acknowledgement slip is provided to every household after the data is recorded in the system. 

Handheld devices

The database created can be used by the National Population Register or NPR, to make the reforms in the policies. The data is loaded to the various devices that are handed over to the different departments and the workers working under those departments.

Administration setup 

The administration department has to be set up in the different regions to make the reforms in the different urban and rural areas. The principal secretary of the state of the union territory has to be handed over to the person who has experience in the administration and has been working in the development of the various regions. The person who has the administrative skills in the development of the region, various helping hands for the principal secretary are to be assigned like the collectors. Along with the administrative part, the proper law and order department has to be maintained in the development of the region. The collected data by CPSE will be used by the whole system in the development of the region. 

Training and field activities

The proper training and field training has to be provided by the different departments to make the development of the rural and urban region. In making the development of a region various issues are faced and these training along with the field activities help in making the effort in the development of various regions. 

Coordination with central government

The committees of various secretaries in the region have to be formed to make the proper approaches in the development of the region. The committee needs to maintain regular coordination with the central government for the development of the region. The central government needs to govern the development made with the help of committees which help the government sanction more finance needed in the development of various regions. 

 Conclusion

The government has made efforts in the development of various regions of rural and urban areas with the help of many reforms and policies. The efforts of the central government in making the households develop in the different rural and urban regions have been successful by the collective approaches of the organizations formed in the development.  The development was made by the various administrative bodies in the different regions by the collective approaches of the secretaries and collectors in the region. The committee was formed to make the effort to maintain a good relationship with the central government for the continuous development of the region by representing proper development.
