NUCLEAR FAMILY

In a nuclear family, there is a man, woman and their children. That group of the family is the nuclear family. They contain two-generation in their family however in the extended family there are three generations.

Introduction

The nuclear family is developed by the western world. They distinguish their family from the extended family. The family groups contain the parents and their family and the family lives together with two generations only.

Nuclear family meaning

The unit of the family contains two adults and any numbers of the children are living together and the children may be adopted and biological. 

What is a nuclear family?

A nuclear family is also known as an elementary family, in society, the family contains a married couple and their children and they are socially recognized children or they may adopt the children from the offspring.  Children in the nuclear family may be from a couple or they can adopt the children from the offspring. 

Extended family and nuclear family

In society self-supporting is hard to meet, in the nuclear family, they have to be self-supporting. Moreover, it is hard for them to pay the high cost of the rent of the house. In smaller cities, they have to take care of everything, take care of the health issues of their family and the future of their children. However, in extended families, people remain single. They can live with their family and focus on their career and take the important decision in their life to improve their career. In a nuclear family, they have to think about their partner and they are not able to take the decision on their own, they have to take the suggestion from their partner and they must agree on them to make the right decision in their life. In the extended family, the male has to face the outside problems of the society, the mother takes care of their children and grandparents play a dynamic role in the family. They provide the important lessons of life to their grandchildren. They help to make the right decision of their life in the future and improve their career. The family provides love, affection and protection among the family; all members of the family love each other.  The children get love from the mother and the father protects them from the difficulties of the society that may be financial or others. 

Other types of family

Extended family

A family that has grandparents, uncle, aunt, and cousins living together in a house. They can easily meet each other if they live in the same society such a family can be called an extended family. Let’s take an example: if grandparents form the married couple they can be from a husband or wife. They live together with the couples and their children are considered an extended family.  

Reconstituted family

In other words, the family is known as a stepfamily. The family contains their children from their old relationship but now they have a new partner and they live together with their new partner in the house. They can also live together with children from the biological connection with a new partner; however they must have the children from their old partner. 

Single parent’s family

The family has single parents and they have the responsibility to take care of their children and improve their future. The children have to spend most of their time with their single parents however they may have contact with another parent. The children have to spend most of the time with their single parents and single parents take care of them.

Same-sex family

In 2014 same-sex families is legalized, the couples adopt the child from offspring. They can make their children from the biological children from the sperm donation from the male or a surrogate birth from their mother. 

Conclusion

In the article on the nuclear family, it can be concluded that the members present in the family have a mother, father and children. They are the married couple and their children from the biological process by the physical contact between their parents. The role of the mother in the family is that they show love and affection to their children and the father protects them from the world.
