Alcoholism can be termed as the usage of alcohol and alcohol based products for both industrial and household development. The chemical formula of alcohol is Ethanol and is used in various aspects such as in drugs, plastics, polishes, etc. Thus, alcohol is significantly important for making the lives of people in India much easier. Moreover, the use of Isopropyl alcohol is predominantly significant due to its antiseptic properties. This product can be extensively used as a rubbing agent for keeping the home germ free and safer for the children to play in the home.

Discussion

Isopropyl alcohol

Isopropyl alcohol is a byproduct of alcohol. The significance of Isopropyl alcohol is that it can be used as a disinfectant at home by properly mixing with water. Moreover, it is also used as an aftershave lotion that helps in protecting the skin from bacterial infection. Isopropyl alcohol is used extensively in cosmetics and thus has a high market value. This product is developed from alcohol and has provided a significant contribution to humanity and society. The major use of this product is for emergency purposes (Britannica, 2018). This product comes in handy for providing immediate relief in terms of killing germs for accident prone patients. Thus, alcohol has significant usage in the medical field also. Moreover, this agent has high significance in the industrial sector. The Isopropyl alcohol does not leave any residue and is hence used extensively as a cleaning agent. Alcohol has a pungent smell and thus is used extensively in presumes and body sprays. Appropriate doses of alcohol can lead to pain relief in medical patients. Thus, these are the major utilizations of Isopropyl alcohol for the overall development of society.

Alcoholism

The term alcoholism can be defined as being addicted to alcohol products. Alcohol has been considered both a boon and a curse to society. Alcohol is extensively used as a medical byproduct for treating ailments and is used as an effective painkiller. The excess consumption of alcohol can lead to a negative impact on human health. This phenomenon is termed as alcoholism. Life expectancy is drastically reduced due to the excess consumption of alcohol. Moreover, the alcohol is consumed mostly due to its numbing effect (cdc, 2021). This product creates a hormonal imbalance that results in the malfunctioning of the central nervous system. The end result of excessive alcohol consumption is the development of excessive sleepiness in the human body. The human body feels tired and lethargic due to the excessive consumption of alcohol. The cholesterol level also increases significantly due to excess alcohol consumption thus causing hazardous side effects to the human body. The ability of critical thinking reduces drastically and the energy or drive to work also is reduced eventually. The advantage of alcoholism is that it is used as a medicine for providing pain relief to patients suffering from major physical accidents (Healthline, 2021). The people belonging to hilly regions consume alcohol in order to keep their body temperature optimal to the external environment. Thus, the alternate use of alcohol is that it helps the people in the hilly regions to carry out their daily activities properly.

Alcohol formula

The formula of alcohol is Ethanol and it has major use in the global market. The major advantage of Ethanol is that it can be used as a solvent since it mixes readily with other chemicals. Thus, various byproducts could be developed with the help of Ethanol. Moreover, alcohol can be used as a fuel since it has a high calorific value. The ethanol is highly flammable and has a burning taste. Moreover, it has been found that Ethanol can be used as a cost effective fuel compared to biofuels (sciencedirect, 2018). The caloric efficiency of Ethanol is significantly high compared to other fuels and thus can be used for fueling vehicles and rockets. The other advantage of Ethanol is that it reduces global warming since it does not produce environmental pollutants. The product is easily accessible and can be made easily too. The dependency on fossil fuels also reduces significantly due to the availability of alcohol (afdc, 2018). This product is also served as a beverage in restaurants and hence serves the purpose of business development.

Alcoholic

A person over-induced with alcohol substances can be considered as alcoholic. Individuals experience high spending and lack of sense of duty as an alcoholic or drunk. Alcohol plays a major role as a product for overall economic development due to its diverse qualities and values in the market. However, high alcohol consumption by alcoholic people causes major health issues such as depression, low self-esteem and stress.

Conclusion

The effective conclusion that can be drawn from the assignment is that alcohol has both positive and negative aspects. The proper usage of alcohol can improve the overall GDP of the country. Moreover, it can be used as an alternative source of clean energy. Thus, alcoholism has a significant advantage in the market and is hence used extensively both in homes and industries. The other use of alcoholism is the development of hard drinks. This chemical agent is used for developing drinks that have high medicinal value.
