Biodiversity- climate change

Climate Change and biodiversity are interconnected links of nature where the change in climate results in severe threats for the biological variety on the earth.

Introduction

Biodiversity and climate change are intertwined links of nature where a disturbance in climate resulting in its change causes tremendous turbulence in the biodiversity. An increased climate change can lead to deprivation like loss of species and a decline in biodiversity of nature. Biodiversity is coined as the natural resources, species, ecosystem and variation within the genetics of the earth that brings about the beauty of nature. In recent years, a huge effect is observed in the biodiversity of nature due to frequent climate changes. The change in biodiversity also results in differences in the economic structure of an area.

Biodiversity-climate change: Overview

Biodiversity is termed as the variety of flora, fauna, genetics, species and available resources of the earth. On the other hand, climate change means the change within the climate due to some human interference or natural phenomenon. This climate change includes drought, flood, thunderstorms and so much more. An interlinked connection of these two results in change or modification of one another. Both biodiversity and climate change are crucial parts of the ecosystem in the development of a healthy and peaceful environment. The elements of biodiversity incorporate different sections of nature like the aquatic, terrestrial animal and overall balance of nature.

Biodiversity and climate change: Definitions

Climate change and biodiversity are linked; climate change can cause a high risk of wildfire, storms and unavailability of the natural resources of the environment. Climate change refers to change within the weather that is not limited to a particular period but it is referred to as a major change when this change remains for a longer period. It is crucial to protect the natural inhabitants of nature in order to maintain a well-balanced environment structure.

Impact of climate change on biodiversity

Climate change has a huge impact on the biodiversity of nature, which results in the varied modification of the system. Environmental change has always been a cause of turbulence for different species, genetics and endangered animals and plants. It is learnt that the extreme rainfall, rise in temperature, ocean acidification and severe weather events are pressuring the survival factor of various species and putting up the risk factor on the endangered species on earth. Climate change also results in food scarcity among the people.

Effect of the change on biodiversity

Biodiversity is widely affected due to climate change, as there is storm or thunder breakdown, a significant amount of disease and invasive species travel through the means of travel and trade. Another human-made problem resulting from the imbalance within the biodiversity is the intensive use of plastic waste, which results in the non-biodegradation of the substance and its presence makes the environment toxic and thus affects the biodiversity. Climate change has also affected the underwater cycle of the system, leading to water scarcity in the society. In order to have well-balanced biodiversity, it is vital to have a proper climate in the ecosystem.

Role of economy and planning in climate change and biodiversity

Biodiversity has a crucial relationship with the economy and planning of the system, it can be witnessed in the study. The growth of different grains and foods by the farmers are being transported from one place to another and aids in the formation of the economic development of that region. The food distribution, pest control, genetic diversity and pollination can lead to an intensive effect on the financial backdrop of biodiversity.

Conclusion

The study discusses biodiversity and climate change, which act as an integral part of the ecosystem. The study pivots on the importance of saving and taking necessary measures for a well-balanced nature. It also provides a glimpse of the different roles biodiversity plays in the formation of a healthy ecological system. Through the course of the study, it is learnt what the different roles are played by biodiversity in the planning and economic pattern of the region. A very clear and insightful view is provided in the study of the effect and impact on the change of climate.
