Moreover, it focused on the work to help the needy people in the society and always try to reduce the problems on social platforms. Furthermore, it is defined as the system that helps society to live with the standard satisfaction in life they need. Social welfare is fully submerged to provide the facility for needy people by giving them education, health system, and food for a better lifestyle.

Temporary assistance helps needy families that have low incomes and their children are not getting proper education due to economic issues. Temporary assistance gives monthly payments to their families for surviving the life in well mannered.

The supplemental nutrition assistance program helps low-income families by giving them an electronic card similar to a debit card. Furthermore, this card helps these families by buying food from the market by using the card. 

• Supplemental security income

Supplemental security income provides the money to adults, children, and disabled people that have low-income sources.

• Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana

Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas yojana gives the amount to poor people for the construction of their houses. This is launched in (1985) and restructured on (25/6/2015)

• Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sararakshan Yojana

Pradhan Mantri Annadta Aay Sararakshna Yojna gives the facility of price support scheme(PSS), price deficiency payment scheme(PDPS). This scheme is launched in (2018)

• Niramaya Health Insurance scheme

Under the Niramaya health scheme, the government of Kerala provides helath insurance to the patients suffering from the disease related to cerebral palsy, mentally retard, and multiple disabilities. The objective of this scheme is to improve the health condition and quality of the life of patients suffering from disabilities.

• Vayomithram Project

The Kerala social security mission starts the following project in Kerala with the aim of providing medical facilities to the older people. The age criteria to seek the advantages of this scheme are 65 years.  

Importance of Social welfare schemes

Social welfare always tries to help those people that are below poverty and their income is negligible that face the issue in surviving the life of their family. Furthermore, in society, all want to develop however no one thinks about those people that belong below poverty. Social welfare always tries to reach the needy people that are in our society and help them. For helping the needy people it makes several programs that think about the needy people and families that occurred in our society. Supplementary nutrition programs help children that age is 0-6. Furthermore, it provides the child development knowledge for pregnant ladies for taking the additional nutrition that helps in child development.

• (NHAD) nutrition health awareness programs 

NHAD helps to create awareness for pregnant ladies regarding health and nutrition.

The study states that social welfare schemes, in this study, discuss the social welfare schemes that help the needy people that belong below poverty. Furthermore, they always try to help needy people that face problems in surviving life by providing housing, food, and hospitality. There are several categories in social welfare that are helping the needy people by making different programs. Furthermore, there are Temporary assistance and Supplementary nutrition programs that help needy people. Moreover, there are several schemes in India such as Digital India, Pradhan Mantri Gramin Vikas Yojana, and Ayushman Bharat Yojana. This topic discusses its importance because no one is thinking about those people and families that belong below poverty.
