Immunology of Malignancy

Immunology represents the entire immune system that deals with grappling infections and diseases. “immunology of malignancy” explains the immune system’s role in the development and advancement of cancer.

Introduction

Immunology studies the capability of the immune system in recognising and combating several unwanted infections and maladies. The immune system can be termed as a built-in shield in the body. In a healthy body, the immune system repels the invasion of foreign microorganisms such as viruses and bacteria. In the case of immunology of malignancy, the presence of a faulty immune system can be detected. It basically discusses the development and progression of cancer in a defective framework of the immune system. A faulty immune system can be identified to have the inability to combat the continuously developing cancer cells. The entire elaboration in this regard has been given in the present case.

Discussion on immunology of malignancy

Immunology of malignancy

The immunology of malignancy delineates the entire scenario of immune responses to cancerous cell development and its progression. This can be identified as the most important section in biology and medical science. The immunology of malignancy can be regarded as an uncharted territory in medical science as there is huge scope to consolidate the research methods and explore a broader picture in formulating the solution. In addition to that, this section of medical science is also engaged in finding the best possible panacea for remedial purposes. The application of the immune system is addressed in the case of “Cancer Immunotherapy”. This uses the immune system for cancer treatment. From several past researches, it can be inferred that the immune system has the potential to mark and obliterate the cancer cells without any external benefactors. Protein rich antibodies involve definite makers which are termed as antigens on pernicious attackers such as malignant tumor cells, viruses and bacterias. Other immune system components annihilate the pre detected stuff marked by the antibody. That is why the absolute understanding of cancer immunology or malignancy immunology is important to consider.

Malignant Helanoma

In short, malignant melanoma refers to skin cancer. In an elucidated manner, it is one type of skin cancer that originates from the melanocytes which are known to produce the skin pigments. This type of cancer is generally apparent in the skin but can be detected in the facial regions and intestinal regions. Melanoma is seen to be one of the worst types of invasive cancerous form. In such a type of cancer the chance of death is maximum. It can be regarded as a serious form of skin cancer. Although the panacea rate in this regard is also high in the case of early detections. The standard preventive measures can be taken to avert this type of cancer for people with fair skin. The cure rate of patients with early detection scenarios can be estimated as 79% in this case. The symptoms in the case of such cancer can be identified as displaying unmatchedness and discoloring of the skin. The immune system in response to “melanoma genesis” can be recorded as moderate.

Malignant Hyperthermia

Malignant hyperthermia can be addressed as an intense situation created out of the intricacies in anesthesia. The reaction in response to malignant hyperthermia is sudden vehement enhancement of body temperature, muscle spasms, a swift rate of heart and many more. In case of the complications remaining unattended the result can be noticed as fatal. Medication is necessary in this regard to counter such a crisis. The manifestation of the problem can be seen within one to two hour of anesthesia administration. The heating of the entire body can result in ‘immunosuppression’ due to a straightforward damage to the ‘lymphoid tissue’. The immune system in this regard is helpless to launch countermeasures for being in a hounded state and a tumor-containing stage can manifest.

Neuroleptic malignant syndrome

Neuroleptic malignant syndrome is a physical reaction in response to “antipsychotic drugs” which are administered to treat “schizophrenia”, “Bipolar disorder” and other medical conditions related to mental health. The entire nervous structure is affected by the condition. The symptoms in this regard can be seen in the form of increased body temperature or high fever and absolute muscle rigidity. These complications create a serious condition in the patient but the condition is highly treatable with widely available medications. The immune system in this regard can be found nonchalant as it is a sudden uprising of sensory and overall physical condition. Intermittently fluctuating pulse, enhanced respiration rate and the rapid fluctuation of blood pressure are also apparent in this particular case. It also results in the change of the mental status of the patient.

Conclusion

The above discussion is solely based on the medical condition of “malignancy” and “immunogenic” responses to counter the complication and the possibility of an effective elimination. The immune system has the potential to work on creating antibody proteins to repel several alien situations in the physical framework. Several medical researchers have been conducted in this regard to know about the origin of cancerous cells and their probable impact on the body. The possibility of concocting an effective panacea in the prevention of such intricacies is highly dependent on the further exploration and understanding of the immunogenic responses and ‘malignancy’.
