Intrinsic and Extrinsic Factors

Intrinsic and extrinsic factors are related to the performance of human beings. Intrinsic factors work in individuals, the extrinsic factors work as a group that can influence human beings from outside. The extrinsic factors are the environment and many more.

In the context of the discussion, intrinsic and extrinsic factors refer to the process which can influence human beings from inside or outside. There are some examples of intrinsic factors such as motivation, attention, psychomotor learning stage, memory, and many other things. On the other hand, examples of extrinsic factors are the environment, culture, and many other things. Therefore, it is clear that intrinsic factors are defined as the psychological genetic, and the pathological factors of human beings.

Implication of Intrinsic and Extrinsic Factors

There is a particular definition that is associated with the intrinsic and extrinsic factors. In the context of the definition, it refers to the relevant factor, which can try to help the intestines to absorb vitamin B12. Therefore, it is clear that in the context of the internal part of the human body, intrinsic factors are considered as proteins that are created in the stomach lining with the help of the cells.

On the other hand, extrinsic factors are defined as the factors related to the environment. It can be stated that the extrinsic factors can include the time, temperature, atmosphere, and humidity. It is discussed that the extrinsic factors are related to the lifestyles and the health of human beings.

There are some impacts of extrinsic factors on the health of the people which can be related to the medical decision-making of human beings. The category of extrinsic factors is also broader than the intrinsic factors and it is also important to know that there is a significant role of intrinsic and extrinsic factors to increase drug development.

Definition of Intrinsic and Extrinsic Factors

In the context of the particular discussion, the definition of intrinsic and extrinsic factors is associated with the development of drugs and food absorption. There are some features of intrinsic factors such as these factors may be psychological, may be pathological, or may be genetic in the context of an individual. On the other hand, the medicines related to the pharmacogenetic and pharmacogenomics nature can be made by the researchers with the help of the intrinsic factors.

Association of Intrinsic and Extrinsic Factors related to DNA Damage

These relevant factors play an essential role and responsibility related to DNA damage. It is essential to know that there is some genetic information that can be attacked by the intrinsic factors of human beings. The extrinsic factors can also attack that genetic information and it can be stated that there are some agents related to the both factors. For example, those crucial agents are chemotherapeutics, environmental radiations, and the oxygen species which are reactive in their nature.  DNA damage is related to the defects of DNA which are associated with both crucial factors. The polymerization of both DNA and RNA is affected by the intrinsic and extrinsic factors at the time of DNA modification. The other important thing is that these factors are effective for the replication of transcription arrest related to the fork collapse. There are huge numbers of biochemical products which can try to create ROS as well as other intracellular agents which are related to the damage of DNA and RNA. There are five main types of DNA damage such as oxidative process, DNA crosslinking, alkylation of bases, DNA strand breaks, and many more.

Difference between Intrinsic and Extrinsic Factors of Motivation

This is the other significant part of the discussion related to the intrinsic and extrinsic factors. Differences are essential and these are described below:

  1. Intrinsic motivation is related to the individual performing as this motivation can be associated with the personal rewarding process. On the other hand, the extrinsic process of motivation engages with finishing the task of trying to avoid the punishment because the main goal of this motivation is also to achieve the rewards.
  2. The intrinsic motivation process can decrease the performance related to external rewards but the extrinsic motivation process cannot do this because it is based on the relationship of one thing with the other.

Conclusion

From the above context, it can be concluded that the effects of intrinsic and extrinsic factors are essential for both the human being and the microbes and also the plants. It can be stated that both the important factors can also impact the food absorption and affect the development or the growth of microbes. On the other hand, the various types of extrinsic and intrinsic factors are useful for the microorganism and the motivation of human beings.
