Community development is important for every country to have growth. The Community development -objectives are important to know, and they are covered in the article.

Community development definition states that it is the process in which agencies assist community people in identifying and taking collective action on issues that really matter to them. Community development -objectives are to strengthen and unify communities by empowering community members. Liberation, civil dignity, inclusiveness, social equity, conscience, and collective action are all guiding ideals in community development. Community development views residents as specialists in their own respective constituencies and places a premium on their experience and intelligence. At every level of a community development program, community members are in charge, from agreeing on concerns to selecting and implementing measures to assessment. To address the roots of inequality and poverty, community development places a strong emphasis on power allocation.

There are several different methods of community development that overlap. Some people are more concerned with the procedures, while others are more concerned with the outcomes/objectives. They are as follows:

Community development is a practice-based career path and an academic discipline that seeks to promote representative democracy, environmental sustainability, constitutional protections, fairness, access to employment, and social equality in urban and rural settings by organizing, educating, and empowering people within their communities, whether these communities are of locality, identity, or interest- All of these are fundamental Community development -objectives.

Community research comprises gathering all relevant data and conducting in-depth investigations into local concerns. The five cornerstone qualities of honesty, responsibility, diligence, persistence, and discipline can be sorted and defined in a variety of ways.

Objectives of community development

Economic progress, democratic change, and democratic evolution are the main Community development -objectives. These three goals must be pushed in tandem and in such a way that they complement one another. The goal of the community development program in India is to improve people’s resources and to assist each village in planning and implementing integrated agricultural production. As a result, the Community development -objectives or main goals are as follows:

  • To transform the mindset of everyone in the village.

  • Improving and organizing existing local crafts and industries, as well as providing basic health services and improving health habits.

  • Providing the necessary recreational and educational facilities for children and adults.

Organizing or providing training for community volunteers, such as participants of panchayats, local and district advisory council, and professional community development workers, such as local level workforce, extension agents, and district advancement officials.
