History of Typewriter

The word typewriter refers to a machine that produces alphabetical characters and many other symbols on a roll of paper.

Introduction

A machine or an electromechanical machine that is used to type different types of alphabet symbols and other typing characters is called typewriter. The typewriter machine is aligned with keys that contain one character each. To type in a paper each character is pressed that produces an ink-stamp in the paper. Nowadays typewriter machines are very famous for office use in all corporate, private and government sectors. In this study the concept of online typewriter will be discussed. The concept of typewriters and history of typewriters will also be discussed. Few FAQs will be discussed for the detailed analysis of the study.

What is online Typewriter

An online typing platform where a user can write unlimited words without word restrictions and interruption is known as Online Typewriter. The online typewriters provide unlimited number of document access which is helpful for the long writing projects, assignments, continents, and so on. The online typewriters provide sleek designs for the users to write in conveniently. It provides secure backup options that provide safety from the several interruptions like power breakdown, internet failure, mechanical problems and so on. In other sense online typewriters are safer and safer than the typical old typewriters. These typewriters give access to modify the old or unfinished documents that were saved on the server. There is no worry about losing the novel or losing the user’s computer. The online typewriters are convenient to share the ongoing docs with the others. The user can share their docs to their friends, colleagues, seniors to get help in their writing, get many suggestions for their writing, and also get corrections when something is written wrong. It provides in-built exporters like drop box, Google drive, word press, ever note and so on for converting the document in PDFs, HTML files, and eBooks formats. The access to choosing different colours and designs made the editing of the document easy. It helps to highlight the keywords and different words of the different writing. 

Concept of Typewriter

A machine that is hand operated in which different typing keys are aligned with different characters and based on printing in a piece of paper. There are different categories of typewriters and they are used as per their requirement. The different types of typewriters are mechanical typewriter, electric typewriter and electronic typewriter. The typewriter machines come with “QWERTY” layout and “QWERTZ” layout, but most people use “QWERTY” layout because it was basically designed for the typewriters. The keys of a typewriter were moulded with different characters and the character was also printed in the keys of typewriters. The strike of the user in the keys of the typewriter produces the motion on the keys and it hits the inked ribbons and produces the printing mark on the piece of paper. The different types of typewriters have different kinds of advantages. Mechanical typewriters do not need a power supply and they are very economical. The typed documents from the mechanical typewriter cannot be corrupted and it can’t be modified also. On the other hand electric typewriters can produce more than one page at a time and corrections can be also done with the help of correction fluid.

History of Typewriter

The history of typewriters was considered as one of the most revolutionary inventions of the 19th century. Christopher Letham Sholes is the inventor of the typewriter who invented it in 1867, but it was used in the commercial sector in 1874. According to the sources the typewriters took more than 10 years to be commonly used in official works in the different department of tube offices. But the first ever machine to print the letters in a paper was discovered by a person named Francesco Rampazetto in 1575, Francesco Rampazetto was an Italian printing press worker. After then taking a long time gap in the revolution of typewriter an Englishman named Henry Mill invented a patented first typewriter in 1714. In 1802 again an Italian developed a special typewriter for her sister who was physically blind. In 1829, an American inventor named William Austin Burt designed his own typing machine and named it Typographer. The first commercial typewriter was designed by “Rasmus Malling-Hansen” in 1865 and named it “Hansen Writing Ball”. The machine had a cycle that was used to attach the paper that rotated the writing head under the typewriter. The first fully commercial typewriter with QWERTY layout typewriter was commercially manufactured on 1st of March, 1973.
