The government is something that suggests the body of the persons who regulate the country’s system and the political units of a particular country. They are the political directors who manage the whole system of the country internally and externally both ways. This sector regulates the whole system according to their powers and these concepts are present there from the ancient and medieval periods. At that time, there were also government bodies but they were not as efficient as the government bodies in recent times. The medieval government bodies follow the government bodies of ancient times.

Discussion

Definition of government

The government is a full body of some people who assist their country and regulate the political units. They also help to maintain a positive atmosphere and peace around the state level and the country level. Though it is not always possible to maintain peace around the areas still, they managed to do positive things for the country. The government bodies have been classified into two main groups that are the central body and the state-level bodies.

The persons of the government body are the people of the country. The government body has two definite classes as the state government body and the central government body. There are few subclasses of the government bodies that vary area wise. Many important sectors and their higher authorities are there to deal with each problem that can occur at any time in front of a country. They are regarded as assembly members.

In ancient times, the government bodies were not so set up as compared to recent ones. Still, they manage to control the whole system and the people around the places and the problems that occur in front of them.

Role of the government

The ancient and medieval government bodies are the features that helped the people at that time. Mainly they were there to make serious and big decisions and people need to follow the decisions that have been made by the system. The higher bodies were selected through the people of a particular area. For example, at the time of the Hindu ancient period, they used to have the Panchayat. They are those people who exercised judicial and administrative powers. The local affairs of that time such as the traditional Hindu-Muslim debates have been managed at that time by these government bodies. They play the roles for both the Hindus and the Muslims so that peace is maintained all over the place.

Next, the local affairs were in the hands of the feudal lords and they managed everything. The whole village matters and some big issues were in the hands of the manorial courts. During the medieval period, many dynasties came to India to rule. Some of them serve India as their place and manage the peace all over what is seen at the Mughal emperor Akbar’s time.

Need of a government body

There were some specific needs of the government bodies at the ancient time as well as in the medieval time too. In medieval times, many powers came to India to rule and establish their thought processes over the country. People used to face many problems regarding health, finance, social and many others. One individual cannot solve these things and which is why they need someone who can manage those issues on behalf of them.

For example, the Munhall came to India around 1526 AD and established themselves here for almost 7 generations. The most important time when Indians felt that they were in safe hands and the ultimate power would listen to them was the time of King Akbar. He maintained peace and harmony throughout India. The health need and the economic need are the two most important things for what there needs to be a government body. People believe that the body will listen to them and work for them for a better future.

Roles of the government bodies in the ancient and medieval period

The government bodies followed a few roles in ancient times and in medieval times as well. For example, in ancient times, there were many social issues that were not possible to control and thus they needed a government body to ponder over them.

Similarly in the medieval period, the government bodies helped people sometimes to control the fellow citizens’ financial issues and sometimes promoted education to the people of all sectors.

Conclusion

The whole study reveals the systematic progression of the ancient and medieval government bodies in India. Here is a clear explanation of the needs of a government body. People of that time were dependent on them and were looking for the positive replies that they needed. In addition, the roles of the government bodies at the time were very important as now. The parliamentary government bodies serve the particular area and solve problems of that area. They helped people on different platforms and sometimes rescued them from terrible social problems.
