Introduction 

Art and literature allow an individual to learn about various cultures by observing the people’s culture, self-expression and religious belief. During the medieval period, the tradition and the culture have been followed as well as specific art is given utmost priority. Culture is the aspect of showcasing the individual’s art which helps in learning new things and assists in the utilization in the architecture which involves the art of designing and the structures. Since the medieval period the art forms and the culture has impacted the learning of individuals. 

Art, literature, culture and architecture: overview

Art is stated as the varied range of activities of humans that involves creativity and ingenious talent in order to express technical proficiency and concept based ideas. Literature is considered as a collection of data being stated in the written work specifically in the form of art, poetry and drama. Since the medieval period, the imaginative work of the poets was being praised as they helped in gaining various thoughts and ideas. Architecture is defined as the science and art of designing building structures. This would further include the scope of designing the structure of the building and landscaping the architecture to objects and furniture. Culture is being defined as the way which includes beliefs, arts of a population that are being passed on from one generation to another.

Literature and architecture: Classification

Architecture is being classified into 6 types which are residential architects, commercial architects, restoration architects, landscape architects, interior designers and green design architects. These architects have an individual approach towards structure designing, as the architects need deliberative knowledge and planning to overcome the planning system to understand the architecture. It also states that the architects have to deal with the size of the area to execute the design effectively as well as implement creativity in the design so that a proper structure is being formed. Similarly, there are various types of literature out of which 5 major genres are included which are fiction, non-fiction, drama, poetry and folktale. It states that since the medieval period the people used to give significance to the writers as it helped them in understanding the concept with full clarity. It also states the story of events and real people which includes autobiography and biographies. 

Literature and architecture: Definition

Literature is referred to as the written work of an individual, which helps others in understanding the concept, and the story based on the work. It is applied to the imaginative work of prose and poetry being distinguished by the authors and the aesthetic excellence in their execution of work. It may be classified based on the language, origin and subject matter. Architecture is defined as the process which involves planning, designing and structuring the building. It is often referred to as the cultural symbol and the creativity in art. It implies that challenging a career can become lucrative as soon as you have built the reputation. An architect can design based on the specifications made by the individuals. Architecture helps in planning and effectively executing the designing process with the scope of building the environment. It can also be implied as control of shapes, forms to change the environment, which involves technical knowledge and a certain sensibility to aesthetics and arts. It further involves the cultural environment where the execution of the architecture is being executed.

Culture, art being followed since the medieval period has provided a great understanding of various art forms and culture as well as has helped in practicing the designing of the structure. It concludes that the knowledge being gained from the art form is being utilized in executing the architecture process smoothly.
