Eligibility Criteria for Kerala Administrative Service 2022

The Kerala Public Service Commission established the eligibility requirements for several Kerala exams. In this section, we’ll go through the requirements for the KAS Exam 2022. The Kerala Administrative Service encompasses all positions. Kerala Administrative Service Exams are for positions with a second-class gazette rank.

The following standards must be met in order to be eligible for Kerala Administrative Service Exam:

Age relaxation for Kerala Administrative Service 2022

The age restriction for the KAS Exam is 32 years for the General category candidate, as stated in the advertising.

  • 18 years old is the minimum age
  • Age limit: 32 years (For Stream 2: Max age limit:40) and (For stream 3: Max age limit: 50 as on January 01)

The Kerala Public Service Commission has established the following criteria for claiming the advantage of age relaxation and reservation:

  • The student must be an Indian citizen
  • During the document verification, an applicant claiming caste or economic reservation must present the category certificate
  • Candidates for the KAS Exam who are eligible for reservation/age relaxation in multiple categories will only be eligible for one concession

KPSC KAS Educational Qualification 2022 

The following are the educational requirements for the KAS Exam 2022:

You must have a degree or equivalent from a recognized university to appear for the Kerala Administrative Service test.

Students should also ensure that they are proficient in Malayalam, both orally and in writing. For the exam, questions can be asked in both Tamil and Kannada. However, after joining the service, you should pass a test to demonstrate your Malayalam competence within six months.

Other Eligibility Criteria for KAS 2022

For the Kerala Administrative Service Exam 2022, we must also ensure that you meet the following criteria.

  • The number of times you’ve attempted an exam is the number of times you’ve failed
  • There is no restriction to how many times you may take the exam, and you can apply until you reach the age limit
  • Applicants who were married or divorced at the time of the exam are eligible to take it

Nationality

The candidate should be an Indian citizen.

Reservations

  • According to the applicable Kerala Service Govt. Rules, all Kerala’s Minority Classes (OBC/SC/ST) would be authorized
  • Reservations are also available for those from the economically weaker sections (EWS). During the document verification, the pupils should present their necessary economic documents to the panel
