Marking Scheme for Junior Manager Post

Kerala civil supplies corporation is a department that recruits people for different positions. Every position under this department is government-controlled, and the whole department is government-owned. The exams for the position of junior general manager are conducted by an official body known as Kerala Public Service Commission.

Eligibility Criteria

The age criteria for the position of junior general manager are a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 36 years. This eligibility criterion is provided for candidates of the general category. There are relaxations based on caste and reservations provided by the government to uplift certain backward communities.

Apart from the age criteria, the person should be a graduate from a recognized university and should hold an MBA in any specification. The educational qualification here is more than other positions because of the selection criteria, which does not have a compulsory written examination and only happens when the authority notifies for the same to ensure good educational and academic knowledge. Hence, the Kerala Public Service Commission will prefer a person with a distinctive educational background.

NOTE:

(i) It should be noted that whenever a notification is released regarding the vacancy for the position of junior general manager, it will be acceptable and in force for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years.

(ii) If there is any candidate who wants to provide an equivalent degree as required for recruitment, they shall provide it with relevant government orders.

(iii) Any candidate seeking a reservation should provide a relevant caste certificate and other necessary documents. If a person is found violating the rules regarding the same or doing any malpractice, they will be charged with a penalty, and severe actions would be taken as per KPSC rules procedure 22.

Application

Any person interested in applying for the position and has all the required qualifications and falls under the age criteria can make a fresh registration on the official website of www.keralapsc.com. If a student has already registered, they can apply on the website by logging in with their user-id and password. Once registration and application are done, they can go for further process.  Any details included in the application or the website id, in general, are legal and acceptable for ten years, such as signature and date of birth.

NOTE: It should be kept in mind that all the positions are under the guidance and control of KPSC, and if the authorities find any issue with the application, they are liable to reject it.

Method of Recruitment

There is no written exam for the recruitment as the position of junior general manager is done by the Kerala Public Service Commission, and it should not be confused with any other exams conducted. Other positions in the Kerala civil supplies corporation are filled through the written examination process. Hence, one should be sure of the recruitment process before applying for the position. As of now, there are two methods of recruitment for the position of general manager at the Kerala civil supplies department, both of which are done by the Kerala Public Service Commission.

  • Direct Recruitment- The most preferred form of recruitment done for this position is direct recruitment. Under this method, after a person applies online for the job, they are called for a personal interview by the authority along with their original document. After the interview process is done, the most preferential and qualified candidate is hired.
  • Promotion- Often, instead of hiring a fresh candidate through the interview process, the department promotes its eligible candidates to the position.

NOTE: It should be taken into consideration that even though a candidate is recruited for the position of general manager through promotion, they should be qualified for the same and the age and educational criteria will remain the same.

Probation Period- Any candidate selected for the position must be available for two years continuously in three years on a compulsory basis.
