Exam Pattern and Syllabus for Excise Inspector Trainee Post

Examination pattern of excise inspector trainee under Kerala PSC Board is categorised into two stages

  1. Written examination
  2. Physical tests

Written Examination

Firstly, the written examination is conducted, including several topics like quantitative aptitude, mental ability test and reasoning, general science, current affairs, the Constitution of India, General English, etc.  There are a total of 100 questions, which carry one mark each. And the total duration provided for the completion of the written examination is 1 hour 15 minutes (75 minutes).

Physical Test

After clearing the written examination, a physical endurance test is conducted. The physical test distinguishes between the male candidates and the female candidates. In a physical endurance test, eight topics are provided to the candidates, out of which five tests need to be cleared out.

However, there is a provision that if any candidate gets accidentally injured during the tests, they will not participate further in tests. 

Moreover, the candidate will be called out for the physical endurance test only after completing the written examination. The written examination cut-offs are set based on the category registration and several other factors released on the official website of Kerala PSC.
