For the position of Excise Inspector (trainee), suitable candidates were asked to apply. After the "One Time Registration" process, the applications were supposed to be filled online only.

The eligibility criteria is as followed-

Age Limit

  • Candidates should be between the ages of 19 and 31
  • Only applicants born between the dates of 02 January 1988 and 01 January 2000 are qualified to apply for the role, and SC category, ST category receive the normal age relax criteria

Educational Qualifications

  • B.A degree, B.Com. degree Or B.Sc. degree from a recognised university is required
  • In the case of ex-servicemen, the candidate must have passed the SSLC
  • Candidates who assert equivalent qualifications must present the applicable Government order at the stage of verification to confirm its legitimacy

Physical Qualifications

For outdoor work, the candidate should be fit physically and meet the basic requirements listed below.

For the position of Male candidates-

  • They must be over the age of 18 and have a height of about 165 cm
  • On full expiration, the measurement of the chest should be around 81 centimetres with a 5 cm expansion

Note: SC and ST candidates must be 160 centimetres tall with no chest measurement relaxation and a 5cm expansion.                                    

For the position of Female candidates-

  • A female must be at least 152 centimetres tall                       

Note: SC and ST candidates must be at least 150 cm tall

  • There is no need to take a chest measurement of a female
  • In the format provided on the official website, a certificate of medical from a Medical Officer not below the rank of Civil Surgeon must also be obtained 

Test of Physical Efficiency

Before the PET, the candidate’s physical measurements will be taken. To qualify for the Physical Efficiency Test, the candidate must qualify in any five of the eight events listed below.

For Male Candidates

  • Run 100 metres in 14 seconds
  • Minimum 132.20 cm (4’6″) high jump
  • A long jump of at least 457.20 cm (15′) is required
  • Place the Shot (7264 gms.) at a minimum distance of 609.60 cm (20′)
  • Throwing the cricket ball a minimum of 6096 cm (200′)
  • Rope climbing (just with hands) 365.80 cm (12′)
  • 8 reps of pull-ups or chinning
  • Run 1500 metres in 5 minutes and 44 seconds

For Female Candidates

  • In 17 seconds, a 100-metre run is completed.
  • High Jump of a minimum of 1.06 m
  • Long Jump of a minimum of 3.05 m
  • Putting the Shot (7264 gms) to a minimum distance of 4.88 m
  • 200 Meters Run in 36 Seconds
  • Throwing the ball to a minimum distance of 14 m 
  • Shuttle Race (25X4 Meter) in 26 Seconds
  • Skipping 80 numbers of times in one minute

Probation Period

Every person appointed to this position will be on probation for a total of two years on duty within a three-year term beginning on the day he or she begins duty.

Training Period

Every employee assigned to this position by the recruitment directly must complete the Department’s approved training for a period of not lower than 12 months. Moreover, probation and increase are based on the training term.

Test

If he has not already passed the Account Test (Lower), Excise Tests Parts A &  Part B, and DOM or MOP, the person hired for this position must pass them during his probationary period.
