  1. The highest possible score in the exam. E.g., 100.
  2. When the whole questions are attempted. Consider 85 Question Attempts.
  3. The total number of incorrect answers. Consider the following 15 incorrectly answered questions. The total number of correct questions will be 85-15 = 70. Each question is given a score. e.g., one mark/inquiry.’
  4. Negative marking accounts for one-third of the total. five marks for 15 incorrect answers will be subtracted.

Guidelines for Avoiding Negative Marking in KAT Assistant Exam

  1. Don’t answer if you are not confident. When taking the test, be sure to solve the questions you are particular about first and leave the ones you are not sure about because if you mark the incorrect answers, you will be penalized.
  2. Make sure you thoroughly read each question. When taking the test, manage your time wisely and avoid rushing through any questions.
  3. Don’t make wild assumptions. If you are unsure about a response, do not respond at random.
  4. Take only measured risks.Suppose you are not positive about an answer but are confident that one of the responses is near what you believe to be the correct answer. In that case, you should take a calculated risk and mark it because otherwise, you may leave too many questions unanswered.
  5. First, answer the more straightforward questions.
  6. When you get your question paper, look through it thoroughly, and avoid answering queries at the last minute. The last minute should be set aside for review. Try not to leave any queries till the last minute to answer.
  7. Examine past test papers for practice.Practicing with previous question papers can help you improve your exam-taking skills.
