Kerala PSC Examination Pattern for Village Field Assistant
The objective-type question paper is set for the preliminary examination. The Kerala Public Service Commission organizes the exam online. The Kerala PSC in association with the secondary school boards of Kerala jointly decides the chapters that are to be included under the four core subjects – Kerala Renaissance, Arithmetic, Natural Science, and Physical Science. The students are advised to keep themselves updated with the content of posts on the official website of the Kerala PSC to notice any changes if made. As there is no visible distinction of sections in the paper there are no such restrictions regarding the minimum number of questions that are needed to be attempted from each subject. There may not be a question belonging to the above-mentioned subtopics though prior preparation is equally important for each section.
The time allotted to solve the 100 marks question paper is 2 hours. Each question has 1 mark as well as a negative marking of 1/3rd. The concerned subjects are General Knowledge/Current Affairs, Political and local history, Arithmetic, Basic English, and science. The candidates are required to mark the appropriate option for each question in an OMR sheet.

കേരള നവോത്ഥാനം, ഗണിതശാസ്ത്രം, പ്രകൃതി ശാസ്ത്രം, ഫിസിക്കൽ സയൻസ് എന്നീ നാല് പ്രധാന വിഷയങ്ങൾക്ക് കീഴിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തേണ്ട അധ്യായങ്ങൾ കേരളത്തിലെ സെക്കൻഡറി സ്കൂൾ ബോർഡുകളുമായി ചേർന്ന് കേരള പി.എസ്.സി. സംയുക്തമായി തീരുമാനിക്കുന്നു. എന്തെങ്കിലും മാറ്റങ്ങൾ വരുത്തിയാൽ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുന്നതിന് കേരള പി.എസ്.സി.-യുടെ ഔദ്യോഗിക വെബ്‌സൈറ്റിലെ പോസ്റ്റുകളുടെ ഉള്ളടക്കം ഉപയോഗിച്ച് സ്വയം അപ്‌ഡേറ്റ് ചെയ്യാൻ ഉദ്യോഗാർത്ഥികളോട് നിർദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നു. പേപ്പറിലെ വിഭാഗങ്ങളുടെ വ്യത്യാസം ദൃശ്യമാകാത്തതിനാൽ ഓരോ വിഷയത്തിൽ നിന്നും ശ്രമിക്കേണ്ട ഏറ്റവും കുറഞ്ഞ ചോദ്യങ്ങളുടെ കാര്യത്തിൽ അത്തരം നിയന്ത്രണങ്ങളൊന്നുമില്ല. ഓരോ വിഭാഗത്തിനും മുൻകൂർ തയ്യാറാക്കൽ ഒരുപോലെ പ്രധാനമാണ് എങ്കിലും മുകളിൽ സൂചിപ്പിച്ച ഉപവിഷയങ്ങളിൽ ഉൾപ്പെട്ട ഒരു ചോദ്യം ഉണ്ടാകണമെന്നില്ല.
100 മാർക്കിന്‍റെ ചോദ്യപേപ്പർ പരിഹരിക്കാൻ അനുവദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന സമയം 2 മണിക്കൂറാണ്. ഓരോ ചോദ്യത്തിനും 1 മാർക്കുമുണ്ട്, കൂടാതെ 1/3 എന്ന നെഗറ്റീവ് മാർക്കുമുണ്ട്. പൊതുവിജ്ഞാനം/ആനുകാലിക സംഭവങ്ങൾ, രാഷ്ട്രീയവും പ്രാദേശികവുമായ ചരിത്രം, ഗണിതശാസ്ത്രം, അടിസ്ഥാന ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്, ശാസ്ത്രം എന്നിവയാണ് ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട വിഷയങ്ങൾ. ഉദ്യോഗാർത്ഥികൾ ഓരോ ചോദ്യത്തിനും അനുയോജ്യമായ ഓപ്ഷൻ ഒ.എം.ആർ. ഷീറ്റിൽ അടയാളപ്പെടുത്തേണ്ടതുണ്ട്.
