Eligibility Criteria for Stenographer
The eligibility criteria for the position of stenographer under the guidelines of Kerala PSC do not differ drastically from general guidelines. There are, however, some additional elements added to it.
The eligibility criteria for a stenographer depends on nationality, age, experience as well as qualifications.
- Candidates must be Indian and reside in India
- They must be a resident of Kerala
- Candidates ought to be between 18-36 years
- Aspirants must have a graduate or postgraduate or similar qualifying degree available with a minimum marks requirement of 50%
- The university or college or educational establishment must be NAAC or UGC accredited
- ST/OBC/SC and others are eligible for generalised relaxations as applied to them with the minimum marks requirement being 45%
- Typewriting English (KGTE/MGTE); Typewriting Malayalam (KGTE); Typewriting Shorthand English (KGTE/MGTE); Shorthand Malayalam (KGTE)
- SSLC clearance and relevant graduate or post-graduate degree
