Marking Scheme for Light Keeper and Signaller – Port
The Kerala Port Department has devised the question paper for the preliminary examination as an objective type. The candidates are needed to record their answers in an OMR sheet using a ballpoint pen. The questions are equally divided into five subject groups. There are a total of 100 questions that are required to be solved within 1 hour and 15 minutes. Each question comes with four options. The mode of examination is online. The marking pattern is set as mentioned in the table below:

Points to be Remembered
- Each question carries one mark
- If a candidate skips any question, no marks will be awarded in that case for that particular question
- There is a negative marking of 1/3rd if a candidate chooses the wrong option for any question
- If the exam organizing commission decides to cancel any particular question then all the contenders are given full marks for that question
- The final rank is awarded after the final examination

കേരള തുറമുഖ വകുപ്പ് പ്രിലിമിനറി പരീക്ഷയുടെ ചോദ്യപേപ്പർ ഒബ്ജക്ടീവ് ടൈപ്പായി വിഭാവനം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഉദ്യോഗാർത്ഥികൾ അവരുടെ ഉത്തരങ്ങൾ ബോൾപോയിന്‍റ് പേന ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ഒ.എം.ആർ. ഷീറ്റിൽ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തേണ്ടതുണ്ട്. ചോദ്യങ്ങളെ തുല്യമായ അഞ്ച് വിഷയ ഗ്രൂപ്പുകളായി തിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ആകെ 100 ചോദ്യങ്ങൾക്ക് ഒരു മണിക്കൂർ 15 മിനിറ്റിനുള്ളിൽ ഉത്തരം കണ്ടെത്തേണ്ടതുണ്ട്. ഓരോ ചോദ്യത്തിനും നാല് ഓപ്ഷനുകളുണ്ട്. പരീക്ഷയുടെ രീതി ഓൺലൈനാണ്. ചുവടെയുള്ള പട്ടികയിൽ സൂചിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെയാണ് മാർക്കിങ് പാറ്റേൺ സജ്ജീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്:
ഓർമ്മിക്കേണ്ട പോയിന്‍റുകൾ:
- ഓരോ ചോദ്യത്തിനും ഒരു മാർക്ക് ഉണ്ട്.
- ഒരു ഉദ്യോഗാർത്ഥി ഏതെങ്കിലും ചോദ്യം ഒഴിവാക്കുകയാണെങ്കിൽ, ആ പ്രത്യേക ചോദ്യത്തിന് ആ സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ മാർക്ക് നൽകില്ല.
- ഏതെങ്കിലും ചോദ്യത്തിന് ഒരു സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥി തെറ്റായ ഓപ്ഷൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്താൽ 1/3-ന്റെ നെഗറ്റീവ് മാർക്കിംഗ് ഉണ്ട്.
- ഏതെങ്കിലും പ്രത്യേക ചോദ്യം റദ്ദാക്കാൻ പരീക്ഷാ ഓർഗനൈസിംഗ് കമ്മീഷൻ തീരുമാനിക്കുകയാണെങ്കിൽ, എല്ലാ മത്സരാർത്ഥികൾക്കും ആ ചോദ്യത്തിന് മുഴുവൻ മാർക്കും നൽകും.
- അന്തിമ റാങ്ക് അന്തിമ പരീക്ഷയ്ക്ക് ശേഷം പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിക്കും
