Eligibility criteria for Light Keeper and Signaller – Port Post

Nationality

The candidates fulfilling below credentials may appear for the Kerala PSC recruitment for light keeper and signaller – port after passing class 10:

  • The applicant must be an Indian by birth
  • To prove their nationality, candidates must provide photocopies of their AADHAR cards
  • They must present sufficient proof of their permanent address as ‘Keralites’ Voter ID cards and electricity bill photocopies are needed to support a candidate’s address claim

Educational Qualification

The Kerala PSC has mentioned the academic qualification for various posts after the 10th standard on its website. The latest guidelines about that information are discussed over here:

  • The applicants must pass the class 10 examination to obtain the Secondary School Leaving Certificate which is essential to appear for the preliminary examination
  • The certificate must be issued by schools that operate under a recognized board such as CBSE, ICSE, and Kerala State Secondary Education Board
  • They must have Malayalam/Kannada/Tamil as one of their primary subjects in secondary school

Age Criteria

Previously the Kerala PSC Thulasi has set the upper age limit to 36 years of age for the post-secondary school examinations. But since 2019 there has been an allowance of three additional years which means the candidates who are interested to appear for the Light Keeper and Signaller – Port can be aged between 19 – 39 years of age. The State Commission determines the age relaxation for reserved castes. Related information to this is also clearly declared on the official website of Kerala PSC.

The most recent rules offer a three-year relaxation for the OBC candidates. While the SC and ST categories enjoy a relaxation period of five years. Especially abled candidates get fifteen years more to sit for the test.

ഉദ്യോഗാർത്ഥികളുടെ അറിവിലേക്കായി, കേരള പബ്ലിക് സർവീസ് കമ്മീഷൻ അവരുടെ ഔദ്യോഗിക വെബ്സൈറ്റിൽ ലൈറ്റ് കീപ്പർ, സിഗ്നലർ–പോർട്ട് പരീക്ഷയ്ക്കുള്ള യോഗ്യതാ മാനദണ്ഡങ്ങൾ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

ദേശീയത, വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ യോഗ്യത, പ്രായ മാനദണ്ഡങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയും മറ്റുള്ളവയും ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ചില മാനദണ്ഡങ്ങൾ ഓരോ ഉദ്യോഗാർത്ഥിയും പരീക്ഷയ്ക്ക് ഹാജരാകുന്നതിന് മുമ്പ് പൂർത്തിയാക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ട്.  മുമ്പത്തെ മാനദണ്ഡങ്ങൾ 2019–ൽ അപ്‌ഡേറ്റ് ചെയ്യുകയും പുതിയ നിയമങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ടുവരുകയും ചെയ്തു.

ദേശീയത

ചുവടെയുള്ള യോഗ്യതാപത്രങ്ങൾ നിറവേറ്റുന്ന ഉദ്യോഗാർത്ഥികൾക്ക് 10-ാം ക്ലാസ് പാസായതിന് ശേഷം ലൈറ്റ് കീപ്പർ, സിഗ്നലർ – പോർട്ട് എന്നിവയ്ക്കുള്ള കേരള പി.എസ്.സി. റിക്രൂട്ട്‌മെന്റിന് ഹാജരാകാം:

  • അപേക്ഷകൻ ജന്മം കൊണ്ട് ഇന്ത്യക്കാരനായിരിക്കണം.  തങ്ങളുടെ ദേശീയത തെളിയിക്കാൻ, ഉദ്യോഗാർത്ഥികൾ അവരുടെ ആധാർ കാർഡുകളുടെ ഫോട്ടോകോപ്പികൾ നൽകണം.
  • അവർ ‘കേരളീയർ’ എന്ന തങ്ങളുടെ സ്ഥിരം വിലാസത്തിന്റെ മതിയായ തെളിവ് ഹാജരാക്കണം.  ഒരു സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥിയുടെ വിലാസ ക്ലെയിം പിന്തുണയ്ക്കുന്നതിന് വോട്ടർ ഐ.ഡി. കാർഡുകളും വൈദ്യുതി ബില്ലിന്റെ ഫോട്ടോകോപ്പികളും ആവശ്യമാണ്.

വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ യോഗ്യത

പത്താം ക്ലാസിന് ശേഷമുള്ള വിവിധ തസ്തികകളിലേക്കുള്ള അക്കാദമിക് യോഗ്യത കേരള പി.എസ്.സി. വെബ്‌സൈറ്റിൽ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.  ആ വിവരങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ഏറ്റവും പുതിയ മാർഗ്ഗനിർദ്ദേശങ്ങൾ ഇവിടെ ചർച്ച ചെയ്യുന്നു:

  • പ്രിലിമിനറി പരീക്ഷ എഴുതാൻ അത്യാവശ്യമായ സെക്കൻഡറി സ്കൂൾ ലീവിംഗ് സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് ലഭിക്കുന്നതിന് അപേക്ഷകർ പത്താം ക്ലാസ് പരീക്ഷ വിജയിച്ചിരിക്കണം.
  • സി.ബി.എസ്.ഇ., ഐ.സി.എസ്.ഇ., കേരള സ്റ്റേറ്റ് സെക്കൻഡറി എജ്യുക്കേഷൻ ബോർഡ് തുടങ്ങിയ അംഗീകൃത ബോർഡിന് കീഴിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന സ്കൂളുകൾ സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് നൽകണം.
  • സെക്കൻഡറി സ്കൂളിൽ അവരുടെ പ്രാഥമിക വിഷയങ്ങളിലൊന്നായി അവർക്ക് മലയാളം / കന്നഡ / തമിഴ് ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കണം.

പ്രായ മാനദണ്ഡം

മുമ്പ് കേരള പി.എസ്.സി. തുളസി പോസ്റ്റ്-സെക്കൻഡറി സ്കൂൾ പരീക്ഷകൾക്ക് ഉയർന്ന പ്രായപരിധി 36 വയസ്സായി നിശ്ചയിച്ചിരുന്നു.  എന്നാൽ 2019 മുതൽ മൂന്ന് വർഷം അധിക അലവൻസ് ഉണ്ട്, അതായത് ലൈറ്റ് കീപ്പർ, സിഗ്നലർ – പോർട്ട് എന്നിവയിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കാൻ താൽപ്പര്യമുള്ള ഉദ്യോഗാർത്ഥികൾക്ക് 19–നും 39–നും ഇടയിൽ പ്രായമുണ്ടാകാം.  സംസ്ഥാന കമ്മീഷനാണ് സംവരണ ജാതിക്കാർക്ക് പ്രായപരിധിയിൽ ഇളവ് നിശ്ചയിക്കുന്നത്.  ഇതുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട വിവരങ്ങൾ കേരള പി.എസ്.സി.–യുടെ ഔദ്യോഗിക വെബ്‌സൈറ്റിലും വ്യക്തമായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

ഏറ്റവും പുതിയ നിയമങ്ങൾ ഒ.ബി.സി. സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥികൾക്ക് മൂന്ന് വർഷത്തെ ഇളവ് വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്യുന്നു. പട്ടികജാതി, പട്ടികവർഗം വിഭാഗങ്ങൾക്ക് അഞ്ച് വർഷത്തെ ഇളവ് ലഭിക്കും.  ഭിന്നശേഷിയുള്ള ഉദ്യോഗാർത്ഥികൾക്ക് പരീക്ഷ എഴുതാൻ പതിനഞ്ച് വർഷം കൂടി ലഭിക്കും.
