The duties of a Clerk Typist involve processing correspondence, meeting with clients and colleagues, and directing phone calls. The Clerk Typist position leads to other related positions such as sales agent. Clerk Typists perform clerical duties for office administrative staff or agents by answering phones, taking messages, scheduling appointments and processing payment orders. Clerk Typists may also have to work under tight deadlines too because they will be responsible for providing information and orders at the same time. Kerala PSC invites applications for the post of Clerk Typist from eligible candidates.
Notification 2022 for Clerk Typist
As per the official notification of Kerala PSC, the following conditions are required for the applicants to fill out the online application form.
1. Passed in SSLC or its equivalent. Lower Grade Certificate in English Typewriting (KGTE) and Computer Word Processing or its equivalent.
2. Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment from among Scheduled Tribes only).
Note:- Applications received from candidates other than Scheduled Tribe will be rejected. Individual communications regarding the rejection of their applications for the above reason will not be issued.
3. The applicant should have good typing speed as well as basic data processing speed with the ability to concentrate on work even under high pressure, manage stress, maintain work efficiency and have excellent communication skills.
4. The applicant should have a minimum age of 18 years and a maximum age of 41 years.
5. The applicant should have good computer knowledge and basic knowledge about office work (MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
Salary: The salary is Rupees 19,000 to Rupees 43,600
