UNITED NATIONS POPULATION FUND

The UNPF is the one trying to keep the population updated. They promote the things that are helpful for women’s reproduction. Along with that, they work on the wellbeing of women and children and partly for the opportunity of men. They work on various areas of reproduction and spread awareness about reproduction. Description of United Nations Population Fund

United Nations Population Fund (UNPF) is a fund that has been developed by the international development agency; it is to promote the right life and health opportunity for every citizen. This agency wants to give every woman, man and child equal opportunities for enjoying life and health. It can be considered as part of a sustainable development plan for human beings. UNPF has established a partnership with the government for executing its plan successfully. They want every person to live getting the opportunities they deserve. UNPF has started this work with the aim, they want to portray that every pregnancy is wanted; they want to make sure every birth is safe. They also want to make sure that every young person’s potential is fulfilled. They have made partnerships only to fulfil their mission, they have even made bonds with civil society and other agencies. They actively work in different countries and try to provide opportunities to people in need and also take care by providing different services. They mainly look after the matter of population their services are according to that for example, they work on sexual and reproductive services of health and its emergencies. They work on matters like HIV and AIDS, they do want a life to be wasted or demolished because of any kind of difficulty. 

It has been seen that parents abort their unborn child because of economic conditions and also other purposes. Their mission is to mitigate those situations and work on those areas. Their areas of work are mentioned below:

• Decrease violence on women

• Encouraging the factor of birth control

• Safe pregnancy and childbirth

• Voluntary plan of the number of children in order to avoid unwanted pregnancies.

International relations

UNPF can be called an international organisation as it is internationally funded. They require support internationally, and over the years they have been able to succeed in their mission. This organisation is present in almost 150 countries, in order to do so they have to maintain a relationship with these countries otherwise they will not be able to gather funds for the mission. They encourage countries to take the membership of their organisation, this is the way they establish relationships internationally. They have made collaborations with other humanitarian agencies on an international level, for example, WHO, UNICEF, UNDP etc. This is the way they maintain international relations.

Careers in UNPF 

This agency provides careers to people also, after reviewing the working areas many people have shown their interest to work with them. They have almost 1900 staff working in their agencies, not only that, they provide careers internationally. Their current statistical deviation is showing that they have 560 international staff and 1340 national staff members working for them. They have been able to raise the urge in people to work in them. It is charity work, but it can be a career for some also. They take people who have knowledge in this matter who have an idea of how the system of reproduction can be done in an organised way. They have been able to make people understand that it can be a good career option which is the main reason so many people are working with them currently.

Report of UNPF 

The current report that has been released by UNPF is on 14th April 2021, the name of the report is “My Body is My Own”. It is the first time they have published a report which is focused on bodily autonomy. The report suggests that there is power, women have to make choices about their body and they can express it without the fear of violence. Whether they want to have a child or not is completely their decision as it is their body. No one can make decisions for them or force decisions on them. The report says that the countries that have the highest population are China, India and the United States.
