• One of the major points mentioned by the Indian president was the inauguration of the Atmanirbhar Bharat Campaign. The meaning of the word Atmanirbhar is self-reliant. India is looking to build an economic resurgence by adopting a self-reliant approach that will be essential for taking a major part in the post-pandemic global economic environment.   
• The prime minister of China Xi Jinping expresses the support of China for other BRICS nations regarding the Covid-19 vaccine. The president promised that China will provide the necessary help to other BRICS nations regarding the vaccine development programmes
• The Chinese prime minister has promised that it will help the BRICS countries to create a partnership for a revolution centre within Xiamen. This revolution centre will be used for finding solutions for industrial solutions.
• China offered their support regarding the terrorism strategy adopted by other BRICS nations
• The host country President Vladimir Putin mentioned that cooperation among BRICS countries is essential for tackling the after-effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. Joint support was mentioned by the Russian President to tackle the challenges associated with Covid-19 vaccine development programmes
• Russia tried to convince its other BRICS counterparts to create an establishment that will be used for Covid-19 vaccine development programmes

Importance of BRICS summit 2020

The BRICS Summit held in 2020 had major implications for all other BRICS countries. However, India used the BRICS Summit to initiate talks with China regarding the detonation of the pressure development across the India-China Borders. Terrorism and security concerns were discussed in the BRTICs summit due to the increase of inline threats across multiple government sectors.
