GATE 2014 Question Paper 

GATE exam can be described as the Graduate Aptitude Exam in Engineering is an all India examination aiming to test the understanding of diverse topics regarding engineering and technology. The GATE exam is three hours with sixty-five questions for a hundred marks. From the year 2014, the GATE exam became a totally online exam that consisted of multiple-choice questions and numerical type questions. The sixty-five questions in the exam comprised ten questions for the domain of general aptitude and this domain carried a weightage of fifteen marks. The section regarding general aptitude further consisted of two sections such as verbal ability and numerical ability.

Benefits of solving the GATE exam

The candidates appearing and clearing the GATE exam can be benefitted in many ways. For instance, through GATE the students can get an opportunity for applying for post graduation in their area of interest, students can also take part in research and fellowships and get better placement opportunities.

Ans: The GATE 2014 exam consisted of sixty-five questions that were for hundred marks. The three hours exam had thirty questions for one mark each and thirty-five questions for two marks each. Thus, the total number of questions is sixty-five and the maximum mark is a hundred. The online paper consisted of multiple-choice questions and numerical type questions.

Ans: The numerical type questions referred to those for which the candidates were not provided with any choice rather they had to use the virtual keypad for entering the number that was their answer.
