ISC Full Form

Introduction

Education is a crucial part of children’s life. ISC is basically referred to the board of examination for class 12th directed by the CISCE. The examinations under this board are in compliance with the new education policy of 1986. It is a non-public board of the Indian education system, having the goal to serve the children of the nation by offering high-quality studying prospects, training with an assurance of excellence. ISC Full form 

ISC stands for the Indian school certificate that has been established by the local examinations syndicate of Cambridge University with the assistance of the Interstate board of Anglo-Indian education in 1958. At the conference of 1952, under the chairmanship of the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the proposal of the replacement of oversees of the Cambridge university syndicate and the establishment of the All India council has been proposed. The council has been officially registered and listed under the Delhi public education act in 1973. The examination under the board is designed as per the recommendation of the 1986 education policy act in the medium of English.

• Comprehensive syllabus

The board is well known for its variety of subjects and the comprehensive syllabus that is offered to the student. 

• Importance to the practical study

In the curriculum of the examination of that council, 20% of total marks are allotted to the lab work. The aim of this structure is to the practical application of the learning that the students adopt. 

• Free choice of subjects 

ISC is provided with the scope of choice according to the student’s desire and number. The marking scheme under this board is quite different from the other board as well. The board also focuses on delivering the theory-based subject in English. 

Examinations under the Indian school certificate 

The CISCE conducts three examinations including ISC, ICSE and CVE. The syllabus and the subject choice under that examination are varied from one another but have the common aim of nurturing the uniqueness of the individual student. 

• The Indian certificate of secondary education (ICSE) is designed for the general education of the class 10th under the education policy
• The ISC is mainly designed for the standard of 12th and it is a two-year course
• The certificate of vocational education examination (C.V.E) is created for the students after their two years course of study
