- Purpose: NTDFAC aims to serve as a centralized repository for detailed information on terrorist activities, including case histories, fingerprints, and social media profiles of individuals involved in terrorism.
- Based on: Inspired from the US’s Global Terrorism Database (GTD).

Key Features of NTDFAC:
- Comprehensive Database: Includes extensive data on terrorists, facilitating detailed analysis and investigation.
- Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS): Incorporates the National Automated Fingerprint Identification System (NAFIS) with over 92 lakh fingerprint records for quick identification.
- Face Recognition System: Utilizes advanced technology to scan and identify suspects from CCTV footage.
- Support for State Police: Enables state police forces to access the central server for information on terrorists, enhancing collaborative efforts against terrorism.
