• Origin and Mandate: Established on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in January 2026 to direct, manage, and oversee the implementation of the comprehensive Gaza peace and reconstruction roadmap.
• United Nations Recognition: Formally recognized and empowered under United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Resolution 2803, which authorizes the board to aid stabilization and recovery operations.
• Institutional Structure: Chaired by U.S. President Donald Trump, the organization is divided into an executive diplomatic arm and a dedicated Gaza Executive Board led by a High Representative for Gaza (former UN envoy Nickolay Mladenov).
