Rishabh Pant Appointed As The State Brand Ambassador Of Uttarakhand

Rishabh Pant has been named the ‘State Brand Ambassador of Uttarakhand.’ This declaration was made on Twitter by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. He stated that the measure would inspire Uttarakhand’s youth to participate in sports and public health.

The state government has chosen to nominate Rishabh Pant, son of Devbhoomi, as “State Brand Ambassador” to encourage Uttarakhand’s youth to participate in sports and public health.

Being a state’s brand ambassador is an honour, and the Uttarakhand-born cricketer got it at 24. Pant made his international debut in February 2017 against England in the third Twenty20 International. He has played 54 T20I matches and scored 883 runs with a strike rate of 126.32. In this style, he has three half-centuries on his credit.

Pant also captained Team India for the first time this year. Pant ran India in the first T20I against South Africa in June of this year. In addition, he became the second-youngest Indian T20 captain in history. He was the eighth-youngest Men in Blue leader across all three forms.

Pant made his Test debut against England in 2018. Pant may very well have scored 24 runs in his maiden innings, but he had made a solid start to his Test career. Pant hit his first-ever Test six, making him the first Indian to accomplish this rare distinction.

Pant established yet another fantastic Test record throughout the series. In the last match, he achieved his first Test century, making him the first Indian wicketkeeper-batter to do so on English soil. A year later, he became the inaugural Indian wicketkeeper to score a century in Tests against Australia in his own country. Pant set the mark at the Sydney Cricket Ground in just 137 balls (SCG).

He has played 27 ODIs and scored 840 runs with a strike rate of 108.80.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami named Pant the state’s brand ambassador at the Uttarakhand Sadan in Delhi, saying his successes in the world of cricket owing to his firm resolve despite originating from a very ordinary background may be a source of motivation for everyone.

He has established himself in the world of cricket. He has done his state and country honour. According to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, honouring him as a brand ambassador would motivate young sportspeople to forge their own identities.

Pant thanked the Chief Minister for bestowing the honour on him and allowing him to serve the state.
