Swachh Survekshan

The Department of Infrastructure and Urban Development has already been carrying out research on Swachh Survekshan, the world’s most significant urban cleanliness and sanitation poll released in 2017. According to the government, Swachh Survekshan seems to have been essential in instilling a sense of cleanliness of the beneficial competition between urban areas and cities to enhance their ability to provide citizens with services and create healthier societies. It strives to promote widespread citizen involvement and promote consciousness in all aspects of the community regarding the worth of cooperating to make cities and towns superior locations to reside.

The steadily rising number of cities demonstrates the size of Swachh Survekshan over time. The 7th edition of Swacch Bharat Survekshan, which surveyed 73 major cities in 2016, 434 cities in 2017, and 4,355 cities in 2018, has grown to become the most extensive urban sanitation survey in the world. more than 9 cr of public responses were collected in this year’s poll with the “People First” theme, a significant increase over the 5 crores collected in 2016.
