This article will highlight the concept of Time Logical Reasoning Questions, which are hidden or missing problems of finding time or finding data which are based on aptitude topics .

Introduction-

The most common logical reasoning type question, called “time” logical reasoning questions, is based on the relationship of time. In these questions, we are given three events, and we must determine the relationship between them. 

What are Missing or Finding Time Questions?

Missing Time Logical Reasoning Questions are based on the concept of time. In these questions, we are given three events, and we must determine the relationship between them. The first question “Find me the time I will arrive at work” is like asking a person to find the distance between two points in time. To solve this question, it’s important to have your mind ready with different methods of calculation and information that comes from experiments with extreme conditions such as by using logic and reasoning.

Benefits of time questions:

Students who know how to solve these types of questions can solve a lot of questions in the test, but students who do not know should be prepared to attempt them quickly because these are some of the easiest questions in logical reasoning. In fact, Missing time is one of the most common topics that appear in most tests.

Examples of Time Questions and Answers:

Q1 . Find the man’s age: There are three people on a plane, a man travels from Delhi to Chennai in an airplane. He is 30 years old now. One day before reaching Chennai, he is five years older than the boy sitting beside him. After reaching Chennai, he becomes three years older than the girl who is seated behind him. The boy is 16 years old when they start their journey. 

A:16

Q2. The man lives in Delhi and works in the central government. His son lives in Jaipur and works as a doctor. The man is 8 years older than his son. After 5 years, the man becomes twice as old as his son was then. The original distance between them is 800 km. Find the age of each of them?

A:40, 25

Q3: A travels from Mumbai to Delhi in an aeroplane. B travels from Delhi to Mumbai in a train. They travel at the same speed and both take 3 days each to reach their destination. Find the distance between Mumbai and Delhi?

A:900 km

Q4. A runs 25 km in 4 hours 10 minutes, B runs 20 km in 5 hours 30 minutes. How much faster is A than B?

A:1 hr 30 mins

Q5. A father can do a piece of work in 24 days, and his son can do the same work in 16 days. When their ages are added, the result is 35 years. How old was the son at that time?

A:35

Q6. A woman, C, travels on a train in 2 hours and 30 minutes to reach her destination while her husband travels in 5 hours and 30 minutes. Subsequently, she meets him at his destination and then she leaves for home by train after spending two hours returning home. How many hours does C spend travelling from Home to meet her husband?

A:4 hr 

Q7. A man works for three years and becomes 16 years old; B for 1 year and becomes 17 years old; C for 0 year and becomes 18 years old but B works 3 years more than C . Who among the three is the youngest?

A: C

Q8. A man walks in a straight line for one hour, and then turns right for ten minutes and then again turns right for fifteen minutes. How long will it take him to reach his destination after turning around?

200 minutes

Q9. A man travels from Delhi to Chennai in a plane and then in train. The time taken by him to reach Chennai is 3 hours 15 minutes and then he takes an aeroplane back to Delhi. The distance between Delhi and Chennai is 1800 km. How fast will he return home?

A: 10,000 km/hr

Q10. A girl walks for 3 hours 5  minute and becomes 48 year old; a man walks for 4 hours 30 minutes but becomes 80 years old after 25 years; another girl walks for 1 hours 40  minutes but becomes 40 years old; finally, a boy walks for 3 hours 10  minutes and his age becomes 50

years . Who is the oldest?

A: C

Q11. A man walks after 10 hours of fasting, and then he goes for a walk for another 7 hours; then he goes for a walk for 4 hours and then again walks for 5 hours. How many times does he go to the park in those 9 hours?

A:3 times

Ans : To solve Missing Time Questions, the first step is we must consider the question asked and the data given. After that we should determine which event occurs first, second and third. Based on it, we should then draw a diagram or an appropriate graph based on the data given in question. Then using our logic and reasoning power, we must solve it by identifying possible options based on our understanding of how things work or how they are.

Ans :  The solution to this question is – Event 1 happens at 1 P.M i.e 2 hrs before the given time, Event 2 happens after 4 hrs from event 1 i.e it happens at 5 P.M and event 3 happens 3 hrs after event 2 i.e 8 P.M . Hence 8 P.M is the answer .
