A statement is information or a fact linked to any general subject in the Statement and Assumption portion of the logical reasoning section. Because it is commonly assumed, suspected, and taken for granted, an assumption is said to be hidden. An assumption is unstated information that must be true for the logic of the argument to work. Simply expressed, an assumption is something that the argument assumes while coming to a conclusion .
Assumptions Tricks
- Come to a final statement and assumptions through reading the sentence clearly, rather than from real-life experiences.
- Don’t make assumptions based on statements that aren’t indicated in the statement.
- The underlying premise is that if a notice or advertisement is posted, it will have an impact.
Assumption Reasoning Questions
In each of the following questions, there is a statement followed by two assumptions labeled I and II. Examine the statement and determine which of the assumptions is implicit.

Conclusion
An assumption is an unstated premise that is used to establish a conclusion. Both the premise and the assumption are undisputed facts, but unlike the premise, the assumption is not stated openly and must be deciphered. The claim, or central argument, is the conclusion.
