The Indian Air Force has released the official notification of AFCAT 01/2022 to help candidates stay updated about the exam. The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT), conducted by the Indian Air Force, selects desirable candidates for multiple positions in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. The registration for AFCAT 01/2022 will begin on 1st Dec 2021 and end on 30th Dec 2021. 

It is a great opportunity for all the aspiring male and female candidates who want to join the Indian Air Force (IAF) as Group A Gazetted Officers. They can submit their application online on the Indian Air Force career website. The online AFCAT examination will be held on 12th Feb, 13th Feb, and 14th Feb 2022.

Below are some important updates on AFCAT eligibility, exam schedule, and admit card.

Candidates must ensure their eligibility for the examination, as follows:

  1. All the candidates applying for the examination should make sure that they meet all of the requirements for admission to the examination. They will be allowed to appear for the written examination and SSB test after fulfilling the prescribed eligibility conditions. If it is found before or after the written examination or AFSB Testing that the candidate does not meet any of the eligibility conditions, their candidature will be cancelled by the Indian Air Force (IAF).
  2. The mere fact that a candidate receives an admit card/call up letter does not indicate that his or her candidature has been accepted by the Indian Air Force (IAF).

Note: There will be no intake for the Education and Meteorology branches for AFCAT 01/2022 for the course starting in Jan 2023.

Exam Schedule

All applicants who have submitted their applications by the due date will be called for AFCAT at one of the examination centres on either 12th Feb, 13th Feb, or 14th Feb 2022. Candidates opting for the Ground Duty (Technical) branch have to appear for both AFCAT and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT). The AFCAT (and EKT) will be conducted in two days as per the following schedule:

Note: Candidates will not be permitted to enter the exam centre after the pre-exam verification process begins at 7:30 am for shift-I and 12:30 pm for shift-II.

Admit Card Notification

Candidates can download the admit card for AFCAT 01/2022 from the official website from 28th January 2022, 5 PM onwards. They will also receive their admit card on their registered email id. To download the AFCAT admit card, candidates must verify their personal information, including Name, DOB, Gender, AADHAR number, Photograph and Signature. It is mandatory to carry a printed copy of your admit card along with required documents to the exam centre on the scheduled date and time. If a candidate does not receive their admit card in their registered email id or is unable to download the same from the above-mentioned website, they should contact the AFCAT Query Cell at C-DAC, Pune.
