Ans. There are many functions of ribosomes; some of them are:

  1. They function by bringing amino acids together to produce certain proteins, which are necessary for the cell’s tasks to be completed.
  2. By the process of DNA transcription, deoxyribonucleic acid creates mRNA, which is then used to generate proteins.
  3. During DNA translation, hereditary information from mRNA is translated into proteins.
  4. In the mRNA, the configurations of protein assembly during protein synthesis are indicated.
  5. The mRNA is organised in the nucleus and then transported to the cytoplasm for further protein production.
