NEET UG notification 2022

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG for MBBS, AYUSH, nursing and veterinary programmes is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). NEET-UG, India’s single largest undergraduate medical admission test, is a pen-and-paper offline exam. The NEET 2022 registration date will be announced at the earliest. Exam Highlights 

Aspirants must be aware of the following details regarding NEET UG exam before appearing for the examination:

  • The exam takes place in pen-paper offline mode. Candidates have to attempt 180 questions.
  • The total duration of the examination is 3 hours.
  • The test takes place in 13 different languages – Hindi, English, Punjabi, Telugu, Urdu, Odia, Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali and Assamese.
  • For every correct answer, the candidate will be awarded 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

NEET UG 2022 application/registration procedure

The NEET 2022 application process will be entirely online. Applicants have to visit the official website neet.nta.nic.in and follow the below mentioned process:

  1. Check out the official NEET 2022 website.
  2. Select the tab that corresponds to the application form.
  3. Generate login credentials – an application number and password. Then follow the directions and enrol using personal information such as your name, contact information and password.
  4. Log in and fill out the application form with the accurate information and upload scanned copies of the required documents.
  5. Pay the application cost via net banking, credit/debit card, or UPI. Payment can also be made through offline mode.
  6. A confirmation page will appear on the screen. Take a printout for future reference.

NEET UG Examination Pattern 

The NEET UG test format underwent several changes in 2021. While the overall time, style and marking scheme remained the same, other essential aspects of the exam, such as the maximum series of questions, number of questions to be attempted and the section layout were altered. The new NEET examination pattern is shown in the table below.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the All India Civil Service Examination, which takes place in three stages. The candidate must pass the preliminary examination in order to advance to the next stage. The UPSC Prelims 2019 exam was conducted on 2nd June, 2019.

UPSC 2019 Prelims Question Paper – Important points 

There are certain important points in the UPSC Prelims question paper that candidates must take care of at the time of practicing it. This is as follows – 

  • The UPSC Prelims exam consists of two objective type exams – General Studies I and General Studies II or Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT)
  • Each paper was of 200 marks. So, in total the exam was of 400 marks
  • Both papers are conducted in two sessions on the same day through offline pen-paper mode
  • Candidates need to score 33% or 66 out of 200 marks in CSAT to qualify for the UPSC Preliminary examination
  • The maximum number of questions were asked from the National and International current events. Hence, you must read newspapers for better preparation
  • There were 100 questions in total in the General Studies I paper
  • A negative marking of 0.66 was there if the answer chosen was wrong
  • The CSAT paper does have 80 questions in total
  • A total of 17 questions were asked from History, 15 questions from Polity, 5 questions from International relations, 14 questions from Economics, 7 questions from Science and Technology, 14 questions from Geography, and 11 questions from Environment
  • In the UPSC Prelims 2019 examination, there were no changes made to the examination pattern or to the syllabus
