What is the phase of simple harmonic motion?

Ans. The position of a vibrating particle in relation to its displacement and the direction of its displacement is called its phase. Two particles are said to be in the same phase when the phase difference is an even multiple of π, and two particles are said to be opposite phase when the phase difference is an odd multiple of π.
